RUSH TRANSCRIPT GLOVER What ░░░░░░░░ moment What a moment ░░░░░░░░ As I walked through ░░░░░░░░ you can feel the ░░░░░░░░ Don t you feel ░░░░░░░░ bern Think about South ░░░░░░░░ Right down in St ░░░░░░░░ where the first slaves ░░░░░░░░ their first taste of ░░░░░░░░ right here just after ░░░░░░░░ Carolina seceded from the ░░░░░░░░ think about South Carolina ░░░░░░░░ about where the first ░░░░░░░░ those former slaves got ░░░░░░░░ chance to learn how ░░░░░░░░ read and write think ░░░░░░░░ that think about where ░░░░░░░░ civil rights workers for ░░░░░░░░ first time came and ░░░░░░░░ integrated meetings that s ░░░░░░░░ South Carolina Let s ░░░░░░░░ about that Applause We ░░░░░░░░ that part of south ░░░░░░░░ we also know that ░░░░░░░░ Carolina has some other ░░░░░░░░ as well we know ░░░░░░░░ one quarter of this ░░░░░░░░ lives in poverty we ░░░░░░░░ that the incarceration rate ░░░░░░░░ though African American s ░░░░░░░░ 30 of the population ░░░░░░░░ also represent three fourths ░░░░░░░░ those incarcerated we know ░░░░░░░░ is the reality we ░░░░░░░░ to change that This ░░░░░░░░ why this movement is ░░░░░░░░ it is about changing ░░░░░░░░ changing South Carolina changing ░░░░░░░░ country changing our relationships ░░░░░░░░ building a community that ░░░░░░░░ what the campaign is ░░░░░░░░ it is a historic ░░░░░░░░ Applause We have a ░░░░░░░░ service From the mayor ░░░░░░░░ the congress to the ░░░░░░░░ He has been there ░░░░░░░░ it is not about ░░░░░░░░ time you spent it ░░░░░░░░ the substance you make ░░░░░░░░ of that time Laughter ░░░░░░░░ Applause whether it is ░░░░░░░░ those who profit from ░░░░░░░░ worry Bernie has been ░░░░░░░░ I have the opportunity ░░░░░░░░ come here and meet ░░░░░░░░ and know that we ░░░░░░░░ all a part of ░░░░░░░░ re history we make ░░░░░░░░ right here this moment ░░░░░░░░ make our history with ░░░░░░░░ choices that we make ░░░░░░░░ it is amazing to ░░░░░░░░ that you are building ░░░░░░░░ only a movement but ░░░░░░░░ are building that movement ░░░░░░░░ the stage of a ░░░░░░░░ election we have never ░░░░░░░░ that opportunity before we ░░░░░░░░ going to change this ░░░░░░░░ every single one of ░░░░░░░░ as Americans we are ░░░░░░░░ to change the country ░░░░░░░░ need all of you ░░░░░░░░ be a part of ░░░░░░░░ not only to vote ░░░░░░░░ to remain engaged senators ░░░░░░░░ Bernie Sanders is talking ░░░░░░░░ continued engagement sustained engagement ░░░░░░░░ is what this is ░░░░░░░░ Applause the most ordinary ░░░░░░░░ engaged ordinary people Let ░░░░░░░░ bring him to the ░░░░░░░░ because certainly he belongs ░░░░░░░░ us and he belongs ░░░░░░░░ us right now and ░░░░░░░░ have to work as ░░░░░░░░ as we can for ░░░░░░░░ next president of the ░░░░░░░░ states senator Bernie Sanders ░░░░░░░░ and Applause SANDERS Thank ░░░░░░░░ Greenville Applause Let me ░░░░░░░░ Aaron McDaniel for his ░░░░░░░░ kind words Let me ░░░░░░░░ Dan as you know ░░░░░░░░ me thank Ben as ░░░░░░░░ know the former head ░░░░░░░░ the NAACP one of ░░░░░░░░ great civil rights leaders ░░░░░░░░ our country today Applause ░░░░░░░░ me think Danny Glover ░░░░░░░░ me thank Danny Glover ░░░░░░░░ You all know Danny ░░░░░░░░ is one of America ░░░░░░░░ great actors and he ░░░░░░░░ that but unlike many ░░░░░░░░ people who have achieved ░░░░░░░░ status when Danny has ░░░░░░░░ is used that celebrity ░░░░░░░░ in the fight for ░░░░░░░░ and economic justice in ░░░░░░░░ country and I think ░░░░░░░░ are all that he ░░░░░░░░ done.” (Applause)
