Margaret BRENNAN You feel ░░░░░░░░ passionately about immigration You ░░░░░░░░ to this country as ░░░░░░░░ refugee REP Omar I ░░░░░░░░ Margaret BRENNAN The Trump ░░░░░░░░ had a victory in ░░░░░░░░ courts this week because ░░░░░░░░ least temporarily they re ░░░░░░░░ the ability of the ░░░░░░░░ to put into place ░░░░░░░░ restrictions on the ability ░░░░░░░░ claim asylum here REP ░░░░░░░░ I I believe that ░░░░░░░░ is morally and legally ░░░░░░░░ Seeking asylum is a ░░░░░░░░ right that people have ░░░░░░░░ we know that the ░░░░░░░░ Court has been wrong ░░░░░░░░ They ve been wrong ░░░░░░░░ the equal but separation ░░░░░░░░ decision they ve been ░░░░░░░░ in the Dred Scott ░░░░░░░░ and so what we ░░░░░░░░ have an opportunity to ░░░░░░░░ as legislators is make ░░░░░░░░ that we are creating ░░░░░░░░ policy that is humane ░░░░░░░░ just Margaret BRENNAN Well ░░░░░░░░ Trump Administration say they ░░░░░░░░ to go and implement ░░░░░░░░ regulations that their hands ░░░░░░░░ being tied because Congress ░░░░░░░░ isn t doing its ░░░░░░░░ REP Omar Alright We ░░░░░░░░ in the House have ░░░░░░░░ doing our job since ░░░░░░░░ first day we got ░░░░░░░░ And Margaret BRENNAN So ░░░░░░░░ asylum rights as you ░░░░░░░░ need to be more ░░░░░░░░ laid out Are you ░░░░░░░░ on something like that ░░░░░░░░ Omar Yeah we are ░░░░░░░░ to make sure that ░░░░░░░░ fix our broken immigration ░░░░░░░░ I mean people have ░░░░░░░░ understand that the immigration ░░░░░░░░ that we have is ░░░░░░░░ that we could avoid ░░░░░░░░ many of the policies ░░░░░░░░ we ve been advocating ░░░░░░░░ many that are currently ░░░░░░░░ at the doorsteps of ░░░░░░░░ McConnell will create a ░░░░░░░░ impact on how our ░░░░░░░░ system is carried out.
