SCIUTTO Joining us now ░░░░░░░░ s Rebecca Buck CNN ░░░░░░░░ reporting that President Obama ░░░░░░░░ was not pleased by ░░░░░░░░ criticism of some of ░░░░░░░░ Democrats What are you ░░░░░░░░ BUCK Well that s ░░░░░░░░ Jim As you know ░░░░░░░░ has been trying to ░░░░░░░░ out of this primary ░░░░░░░░ much as possible keeping ░░░░░░░░ and not making any ░░░░░░░░ Even with his former ░░░░░░░░ President Joe Biden in ░░░░░░░░ race But privately Obama ░░░░░░░░ CNN colleagues are reporting ░░░░░░░░ expressing exasperation at how ░░░░░░░░ left the party is ░░░░░░░░ on some policy issues ░░░░░░░░ of course breaking with ░░░░░░░░ of the things he ░░░░░░░░ when he was president ░░░░░░░░ of course primaries are ░░░░░░░░ about the legacy of ░░░░░░░░ last president where the ░░░░░░░░ is moving and it ░░░░░░░░ no secret that the ░░░░░░░░ Party right now has ░░░░░░░░ moving far to the ░░░░░░░░ policy wise relative to ░░░░░░░░ Obama Administration And it ░░░░░░░░ for many of these ░░░░░░░░ a balancing act because ░░░░░░░░ Biden of course is ░░░░░░░░ essentially as a third ░░░░░░░░ of President Obama but ░░░░░░░░ lot of these other ░░░░░░░░ candidates look at what ░░░░░░░░ in 2016 when Hillary ░░░░░░░░ was essentially running as ░░░░░░░░ third Obama term and ░░░░░░░░ to President Trump and ░░░░░░░░ see this as more ░░░░░░░░ a balancing act How ░░░░░░░░ they embrace President Obama ░░░░░░░░ remains very popular personally ░░░░░░░░ many Democrats while also ░░░░░░░░ a new course forward ░░░░░░░░ the party taking a ░░░░░░░░ progressive direction And that ░░░░░░░░ what we ve seen ░░░░░░░░ many of these other ░░░░░░░░
