RUSH TRANSCRIPT She s ░░░░░░░░ graduate student at Jackson ░░░░░░░░ university Thank you Georgia ░░░░░░░░ you for taking my ░░░░░░░░ I am an African ░░░░░░░░ female with I m ░░░░░░░░ African American female with ░░░░░░░░ beautiful adult children and ░░░░░░░░ grandchildren Oh Georgia count ░░░░░░░░ blessings every day Please ░░░░░░░░ describe to me what ░░░░░░░░ public apology for 400 ░░░░░░░░ of free labor in ░░░░░░░░ south especially Mississippi will ░░░░░░░░ like in the African ░░░░░░░░ community in the new ░░░░░░░░ All right thank you ░░░░░░░░ the new administration Thank ░░░░░░░░ So America was founded ░░░░░░░░ principles of liberty and ░░░░░░░░ and on the backs ░░░░░░░░ slave labor This is ░░░░░░░░ stain on America and ░░░░░░░░ re not going to ░░░░░░░░ that We re not ░░░░░░░░ to change that until ░░░░░░░░ address it head on ░░░░░░░░ And make no mistake ░░░░░░░░ s not just the ░░░░░░░░ founding It s just ░░░░░░░░ happened generation after generation ░░░░░░░░ impact of discrimination handed ░░░░░░░░ from one to the ░░░░░░░░ means that today in ░░░░░░░░ because housing discrimination and ░░░░░░░░ discrimination we live in ░░░░░░░░ world where the average ░░░░░░░░ family has 100 the ░░░░░░░░ black family has about ░░░░░░░░ So I believe it ░░░░░░░░ time to start the ░░░░░░░░ full blown conversation about ░░░░░░░░ in this country And ░░░░░░░░ means I support the ░░░░░░░░ in the house to ░░░░░░░░ a congressional panel of ░░░░░░░░ People that are studying ░░░░░░░░ and talk about different ░░░░░░░░ we may be able ░░░░░░░░ do it and make ░░░░░░░░ report back to Congress ░░░░░░░░ that we can as ░░░░░░░░ nation do what s ░░░░░░░░ and begin to heal ░░░░░░░░ I could just follow ░░░░░░░░ on Georgia s question ░░░░░░░░ said you re open ░░░░░░░░ a conversation about reparations ░░░░░░░░ the descendants of slaves ░░░░░░░░ Native Americans Might that ░░░░░░░░ direct payments Direct transfers ░░░░░░░░ money There s a ░░░░░░░░ of ways to think ░░░░░░░░ the way they should ░░░░░░░░ formed Her question started ░░░░░░░░ the frame of an ░░░░░░░░ and national recognition We ░░░░░░░░ a lot of experts ░░░░░░░░ the country A lot ░░░░░░░░ activists that have a ░░░░░░░░ lot of different approaches ░░░░░░░░ it and I think ░░░░░░░░ best we can do ░░░░░░░░ now I love the ░░░░░░░░ of this congressional commission ░░░░░░░░ s bring people together ░░░░░░░░ let s open that ░░░░░░░░ as Americans Let s ░░░░░░░░ what ideas people want ░░░░░░░░ put on the table ░░░░░░░░ let s talk them ░░░░░░░░ Because I have to ░░░░░░░░ you ignoring the problem ░░░░░░░░ not working.
