Mitch McConnell ░░░░░░░░ vice president Mike Pence ░░░░░░░░ lot voting with Democrats ░░░░░░░░ the big bill on ░░░░░░░░ that was the watershed ░░░░░░░░ dam just broke there ░░░░░░░░ mix metaphors and right now Of ░░░░░░░░ the shutdown The vast ░░░░░░░░ of Americans found that ░░░░░░░░ disapprove of the president ░░░░░░░░ handling of it 54 ░░░░░░░░ of the president s ░░░░░░░░ 43 approve Chris you ░░░░░░░░ that the president weakened ░░░░░░░░ hand in future budget ░░░░░░░░ Well that s exactly ░░░░░░░░ It s hard to ░░░░░░░░ a worse political outcome ░░░░░░░░ the president here he ░░░░░░░░ federal employees hostage for ░░░░░░░░ days in the end ░░░░░░░░ had to release the ░░░░░░░░ his ransom wasn t ░░░░░░░░ during that time he ░░░░░░░░ to build a case ░░░░░░░░ the border wall it ░░░░░░░░ very clear not only ░░░░░░░░ your poll but from ░░░░░░░░ polls that the American ░░░░░░░░ aren t buying what ░░░░░░░░ s selling and as ░░░░░░░░ other people on this ░░░░░░░░ have said we re ░░░░░░░░ to be in this ░░░░░░░░ same situation in about ░░░░░░░░ days there will be ░░░░░░░░ bipartisan proposal I believe ░░░░░░░░ will have more money ░░░░░░░░ border security it will ░░░░░░░░ 21st century technology the ░░░░░░░░ is whether the president ░░░░░░░░ go alonong with that ░░░░░░░░ he s proven to ░░░░░░░░ a very didiicult negotiator ░░░░░░░░ I think you know ░░░░░░░░ is still up in ░░░░░░░░ air as to what ░░░░░░░░ but it s hard ░░░░░░░░ imagine that he will ░░░░░░░░ this compromise and hard ░░░░░░░░ see that he will ░░░░░░░░ national emergency given the ░░░░░░░░ raised by his Republican ░░░░░░░░ So federal workers should ░░░░░░░░ happy they re going ░░░░░░░░ to work but they ░░░░░░░░ t take great comfort ░░░░░░░░ how long that will ░░░░░░░░ That s a troubling ░░░░░░░░ you consider this political ░░░░░░░░ Chris I do consider ░░░░░░░░ political malpractice Nobody wins ░░░░░░░░ shutdown go back and ░░░░░░░░ through history this isn ░░░░░░░░ good for presidents not ░░░░░░░░ for Congress and so ░░░░░░░░ should have known this ░░░░░░░░ was warned about this ░░░░░░░░ very very smart people ░░░░░░░░ the fact that he ░░░░░░░░ go back into this ░░░░░░░░ pretty incredible The numbers ░░░░░░░░ have been against the ░░░░░░░░ all along We did ░░░░░░░░ once again from the ░░░░░░░░ Wall Street Journal poll ░░░░░░░░ opinions of Americans when ░░░░░░░░ comes to the border ░░░░░░░░ the vast majority say ░░░░░░░░ they oppose building a ░░░░░░░░ wall there on the ░░░░░░░░ border Onon about 45 ░░░░░░░░ of this Eliza you ░░░░░░░░ that this whole thing ░░░░░░░░ whole way this shutdown ░░░░░░░░ out proved that Pelosi ░░░░░░░░ gotten the support of ░░░░░░░░ insurgent wing of the ░░░░░░░░ Right and I think ░░░░░░░░ is really key I ░░░░░░░░ the last two years ░░░░░░░░ Republicans the hard right ░░░░░░░░ who broke with their ░░░░░░░░ constantly They were constantly ░░░░░░░░ to pull legislation to ░░░░░░░░ right They opposed legislation ░░░░░░░░ really made it hard ░░░░░░░░ Republican leadership And they ░░░░░░░░ hoping that the far ░░░░░░░░ would do the same ░░░░░░░░ that is not the ░░░░░░░░ Pelosi kept her entire ░░░░░░░░ in line they only ░░░░░░░░ a dozen or less ░░░░░░░░ break on spending bills ░░░░░░░░ and that s a ░░░░░░░░ big deal I mean ░░░░░░░░ saw Alexandria Cortez of ░░░░░░░░ the Republican s favorite ░░░░░░░░ to point out as ░░░░░░░░ far left of the ░░░░░░░░ on Friday saying no ░░░░░░░░ should underestimate Pelosi That ░░░░░░░░ huge I think that ░░░░░░░░ because Democrats saw polling ░░░░░░░░ Americans do not support ░░░░░░░░ wall the way the ░░░░░░░░ has said and so ░░░░░░░░ were able to stick ░░░░░░░░ on this and also ░░░░░░░░ is very experienced She ░░░░░░░░ been doing this a ░░░░░░░░ long time She s ░░░░░░░░ with the Republican
