DICKERS Fewer than speaking ░░░░░░░░ opportunity of a lifetime ░░░░░░░░ than a dozen people ░░░░░░░░ ever held the title ░░░░░░░░ White House photographer David ░░░░░░░░ served in that position ░░░░░░░░ President George Herbert Walker ░░░░░░░░ He says he visited ░░░░░░░░ 50 states and 75 ░░░░░░░░ with the president Valdez ░░░░░░░░ history and forged a ░░░░░░░░ friendship with Mr Bush ░░░░░░░░ he shares his thoughts ░░░░░░░░ and of course photographs ░░░░░░░░ starts VALDEZ When he ░░░░░░░░ getting ready to run ░░░░░░░░ president LIFE magazine wanted ░░░░░░░░ send a photographer up ░░░░░░░░ take some pictures of ░░░░░░░░ I talked to Barbara ░░░░░░░░ about it and she ░░░░░░░░ You ought to just ░░░░░░░░ over 6 00 in ░░░░░░░░ morning the next morning ░░░░░░░░ see what happens So ░░░░░░░░ go up there and ░░░░░░░░ few minutes later the ░░░░░░░░ started coming in With ░░░░░░░░ the accomplishments and things ░░░░░░░░ President Bush did he ░░░░░░░░ most proud of being ░░░░░░░░ a husband a father ░░░░░░░░ a grandfather A few ░░░░░░░░ before the beginning of ░░░░░░░░ Gulf War he went ░░░░░░░░ on the South Lawn ░░░░░░░░ I got a photo ░░░░░░░░ him He was just ░░░░░░░░ about sending young men ░░░░░░░░ women off to war ░░░░░░░░ would go jogging in ░░░░░░░░ morning and maybe play ░░░░░░░░ round of tennis and ░░░░░░░░ go play golf and ░░░░░░░░ go boating and then ░░░░░░░░ of end the day ░░░░░░░░ a round of horseshoes ░░░░░░░░ press corps would just ░░░░░░░░ dragging behind him because ░░░░░░░░ he do this that ░░░░░░░░ rain or shine Mrs ░░░░░░░░ always certainly protected him ░░░░░░░░ was a true love ░░░░░░░░ You d always see ░░░░░░░░ holding hands or patting ░░░░░░░░ other on the back ░░░░░░░░ just making sure that ░░░░░░░░ one of them was ░░░░░░░░ Working for President Bush ░░░░░░░░ my life forever Having ░░░░░░░░ opportunity to work with ░░░░░░░░ and see him and ░░░░░░░░ how he loved and ░░░░░░░░ with his family it ░░░░░░░░ a real end of ░░░░░░░░ era and I m ░░░░░░░░ sad about it clip ░░░░░░░░ KING Well the White ░░░░░░░░ photographer always has a ░░░░░░░░ row seat to what ░░░░░░░░ going on in the ░░░░░░░░ and it s so ░░░░░░░░ to see the pictures ░░░░░░░░ to life You take ░░░░░░░░ at the time you ░░░░░░░░ no big deal and ░░░░░░░░ look back years later ░░░░░░░░ it means so much ░░░░░░░░ They re there for ░░░░░░░░ moment KING Yes Nicely ░░░░░░░░
