BERMAN Morals values and ░░░░░░░░ law are sometimes different ░░░░░░░░ you are coming when ░░░░░░░░ get to politics and ░░░░░░░░ and ethics laws and ░░░░░░░░ There is another report ░░░░░░░░ today that you took ░░░░░░░░ flight from Tallahassee to ░░░░░░░░ that was paid for ░░░░░░░░ office funds and that ░░░░░░░░ you were in Tampa ░░░░░░░░ engaged in political activity ░░░░░░░░ you engage in political ░░░░░░░░ when you were in ░░░░░░░░ on that trip GILLUM ░░░░░░░░ me first say office ░░░░░░░░ are not taxpayer dollars ░░░░░░░░ funds are when you ░░░░░░░░ campaigned and you have ░░░░░░░░ money you put it ░░░░░░░░ an office account that ░░░░░░░░ can then use to ░░░░░░░░ you however you choose ░░░░░░░░ the execution of your ░░░░░░░░ I did meet with ░░░░░░░░ officials but the suggestion ░░░░░░░░ that I went down ░░░░░░░░ raising and met with ░░░░░░░░ group of people to ░░░░░░░░ raise is not true ░░░░░░░░ met with a group ░░░░░░░░ people who are trusted ░░░░░░░░ They re political leaders ░░░░░░░░ our state Many of ░░░░░░░░ are friends I was ░░░░░░░░ Tampa and met with ░░░░░░░░ and had conversations about ░░░░░░░░ future of our state ░░░░░░░░ our community I was ░░░░░░░░ a declared candidate for ░░░░░░░░ office BERMAN But were ░░░░░░░░ conversations about getting elected ░░░░░░░░ further your political career ░░░░░░░░ No they were not ░░░░░░░░ not Not a single ░░░░░░░░ They were about what ░░░░░░░░ is on a policy ░░░░░░░░ that we could be ░░░░░░░░ and that I could ░░░░░░░░ doing in my capacity ░░░░░░░░ the mayor of Florida ░░░░░░░░ capital city Again these ░░░░░░░░ the kinds of distractions ░░░░░░░░ I think my opponent ░░░░░░░░ been unfortunately rather successful ░░░░░░░░ getting into a mainstream ░░░░░░░░ But the point is ░░░░░░░░ that I broke no ░░░░░░░░ I followed the exact ░░░░░░░░ in which these accounts ░░░░░░░░ allowed to be used ░░░░░░░░ are set up There ░░░░░░░░ no taxpayer dollars nor ░░░░░░░░ I have used taxpayer ░░░░░░░░ for that purpose to ░░░░░░░░ We paid our own ░░░░░░░░ No one compensated me ░░░░░░░░ going Again I have ░░░░░░░░ in elected office for ░░░░░░░░ years by doing right ░░░░░░░░ by doing wrong.”
