░░░░░░░░ us vote on education ░░░░░░░░ don t hold politics ░░░░░░░░ for raising graduation rates ░░░░░░░░ access to high quality ░░░░░░░░ K making college more ░░░░░░░░ and more affordable And ░░░░░░░░ just want to be ░░░░░░░░ I don t blame ░░░░░░░░ politicians I blame us ░░░░░░░░ across the political spectrum ░░░░░░░░ should be the ultimate ░░░░░░░░ issue We say we ░░░░░░░░ teachers We don t ░░░░░░░░ them or train them ░░░░░░░░ professionals we don t ░░░░░░░░ meaningful career ladders And ░░░░░░░░ the toughest one and ░░░░░░░░ is a hard one ░░░░░░░░ really don t think ░░░░░░░░ value our children like ░░░░░░░░ nations do We don ░░░░░░░░ invest in them early ░░░░░░░░ we don t keep ░░░░░░░░ safe We ve raised ░░░░░░░░ generation of teens on ░░░░░░░░ shootings on gun violence ░░░░░░░░ that s absolutely unacceptable ░░░░░░░░ doesn t happen in ░░░░░░░░ places CAMEROTA I saw ░░░░░░░░ in Washington D C ░░░░░░░░ the March the Never ░░░░░░░░ March after the Parkland ░░░░░░░░ shooting Columbine was in ░░░░░░░░ How have we not ░░░░░░░░ this problem yet DUNCAN ░░░░░░░░ think we value our ░░░░░░░░ more than we do ░░░░░░░░ kids And the Parkland ░░░░░░░░ have been extraordinary They ░░░░░░░░ providing amazing leadership We ░░░░░░░░ kids from Chicago joining ░░░░░░░░ My family and I ░░░░░░░░ at that March in ░░░░░░░░ And what I honestly ░░░░░░░░ is that young people ░░░░░░░░ going a nation should ░░░░░░░░ behind I think we ░░░░░░░░ try to lead the ░░░░░░░░ in access to high ░░░░░░░░ pre k and get ░░░░░░░░ babies off to a ░░░░░░░░ start We were proud ░░░░░░░░ get high school graduation ░░░░░░░░ to 84 We should ░░░░░░░░ the world in college ░░░░░░░░ You don t hear ░░░░░░░░ of that CAMEROTA You ░░░░░░░░ there s no vision ░░░░░░░░ talk about school choice ░░░░░░░░ s one of their ░░░░░░░░ DUNCAN That s a ░░░░░░░░ strategy That s not ░░░░░░░░ goal Our goal should ░░░░░░░░ again early access to ░░░░░░░░ childhood education high school ░░░░░░░░ rates and even higher ░░░░░░░░ lead the world in ░░░░░░░░ completion Honestly I m ░░░░░░░░ sure President Trump wants ░░░░░░░░ have the best educated ░░░░░░░░ force in the world ░░░░░░░░ Why is that DUNCAN ░░░░░░░░ doesn t play to ░░░░░░░░ authoritarian tendencies You don ░░░░░░░░ want highly educated people ░░░░░░░░ you thinking you You ░░░░░░░░ trying to call the ░░░░░░░░ enemy of the people ░░░░░░░░ trust in institutions having ░░░░░░░░ people who can think ░░░░░░░░ themselves think critically I ░░░░░░░░ not sure that s ░░░░░░░░ his self interest CAMEROTA ░░░░░░░░ you opened the door ░░░░░░░░ President Trump let s ░░░░░░░░ about this spat he ░░░░░░░░ having with Lebron James ░░░░░░░░ it relates to Lebron ░░░░░░░░ who opened this school ░░░░░░░░ Akron Ohio for at ░░░░░░░░ kids It s a ░░░░░░░░ goal It provides food ░░░░░░░░ provides transportation It provides ░░░░░░░░ and helmets Of course ░░░░░░░░ is free There will ░░░░░░░░ a cost to taxpayers ░░░░░░░░ is a public school ░░░░░░░░ think they estimate in ░░░░░░░░ to sustain this school ░░░░░░░░ will be something like ░░░░░░░░ million to the taxpayers ░░░░░░░░ Ohio What do you ░░░░░░░░ of that model DUNCAN ░░░░░░░░ of all Lebron James ░░░░░░░░ maybe the best basketball ░░░░░░░░ on the planet He ░░░░░░░░ a better person than ░░░░░░░░ is a basketball player ░░░░░░░░ I love people stepping ░░░░░░░░ I love public and ░░░░░░░░ partnerships Having a great ░░░░░░░░ academically Having the bikes ░░░░░░░░ feed kids Having color ░░░░░░░░ on the back end ░░░░░░░░ should be encouraging everyone ░░░░░░░░ do this The fact ░░░░░░░░ this is somehow threatening ░░░░░░░░ President Trump speaks volumes ░░░░░░░░ So you like the ░░░░░░░░ of somebody from the ░░░░░░░░ saying that the public ░░░░░░░░ system is broken and ░░░░░░░░ one person is going ░░░░░░░░ make the difference here ░░░░░░░░ It s not saying ░░░░░░░░ public system is broken ░░░░░░░░ s trying to create ░░░░░░░░ great option I was ░░░░░░░░ lucky going back 20 ░░░░░░░░ ago to help start ░░░░░░░░ private public school where ░░░░░░░░ weren t great school ░░░░░░░░ That school 20 years ░░░░░░░░ is one of the ░░░░░░░░ performing elementary schools in ░░░░░░░░ nation Seeing Lebron other ░░░░░░░░ step up and do ░░░░░░░░ things to what we ░░░░░░░░ we can t do ░░░░░░░░ of that We should ░░░░░░░░ all in All of ░░░░░░░░ should be all in ░░░░░░░░ have to educate
