RUSH TRANSCRIPT We are ░░░░░░░░ joining us now by ░░░░░░░░ chief congressional correspondent Chad ░░░░░░░░ he s been following ░░░░░░░░ breaking news story and ░░░░░░░░ all of the details ░░░░░░░░ what happened there we ░░░░░░░░ so grateful Chad we ░░░░░░░░ you by phone Can ░░░░░░░░ break this down first ░░░░░░░░ s this is what ░░░░░░░░ happens of something like ░░░░░░░░ I start to check ░░░░░░░░ on the security situation ░░░░░░░░ the White House This ░░░░░░░░ what happened around 6 ░░░░░░░░ P M this evening ░░░░░░░░ am told a gunman ░░░░░░░░ up near the White ░░░░░░░░ on the west side ░░░░░░░░ as a gate 17 ░░░░░░░░ is kind of near ░░░░░░░░ street on the west ░░░░░░░░ of the White House ░░░░░░░░ came up and brandished ░░░░░░░░ sort of a pistol ░░░░░░░░ do not know what ░░░░░░░░ of pistol it was ░░░░░░░░ then fired toward the ░░░░░░░░ House three times the ░░░░░░░░ States Secret Service they ░░░░░░░░ fire per we do ░░░░░░░░ know how many shots ░░░░░░░░ got off They apparently ░░░░░░░░ the gunman down Now ░░░░░░░░ in this gunfire exchange ░░░░░░░░ civilian on the street ░░░░░░░░ struck by this gunfire ░░░░░░░░ do not know the ░░░░░░░░ of that person right ░░░░░░░░ read the important thing ░░░░░░░░ know is the gunman ░░░░░░░░ came up with the ░░░░░░░░ was taken out by ░░░░░░░░ Secret Service we do ░░░░░░░░ know his condition right ░░░░░░░░ but he never got ░░░░░░░░ the perimeter of the ░░░░░░░░ House This is according ░░░░░░░░ a senior administration official ░░░░░░░░ direct knowledge of what ░░░░░░░░ down at the White ░░░░░░░░ this afternoon for this ░░░░░░░░ right around 6 00 ░░░░░░░░ M. eastern time.
