reason why our city ░░░░░░░░ always been synonymous with ░░░░░░░░ future Here we don ░░░░░░░░ fear the future we ░░░░░░░░ it From the gold ░░░░░░░░ to the miracles of ░░░░░░░░ and technology our city ░░░░░░░░ always been the cradle ░░░░░░░░ innovation buzzing with optimism ░░░░░░░░ creativity We are a ░░░░░░░░ and diverse city home ░░░░░░░░ hard working families diligent ░░░░░░░░ heroic veterans and the ░░░░░░░░ of entrepreneurs and immigrants ░░░░░░░░ Chinatown to Japantown from ░░░░░░░░ to the Fillmore from ░░░░░░░░ Point to the Castro ░░░░░░░░ Beach to the Sunset ░░░░░░░░ are also resilient experiencing ░░░░░░░░ than our fair share ░░░░░░░░ challenges When the Loma ░░░░░░░░ earthquake struck we brought ░░░░░░░░ federal support that ensured ░░░░░░░░ would not just recover ░░░░░░░░ reimagine the South of ░░░░░░░░ neighborhood And of course ░░░░░░░░ AIDS tested our city ░░░░░░░░ its core But out ░░░░░░░░ our agony came action ░░░░░░░░ the leadership of UCSF ░░░░░░░░ San Francisco General we ░░░░░░░░ comprehensive community based care ░░░░░░░░ and research That very ░░░░░░░░ served as a model ░░░░░░░░ we wrote the Ryan ░░░░░░░░ CARE Act which still ░░░░░░░░ access to life saving ░░░░░░░░ care nationwide Fittingly our ░░░░░░░░ is home to the ░░░░░░░░ AIDS Memorial Grove a ░░░░░░░░ of renewal where we ░░░░░░░░ the loved ones we ░░░░░░░░ For decades I have ░░░░░░░░ the privilege of representing ░░░░░░░░ magnificent city in the ░░░░░░░░ States Congress It seems ░░░░░░░░ now that the slogan ░░░░░░░░ my very first campaign ░░░░░░░░ 1987 was A Voice ░░░░░░░░ Will Be Heard And ░░░░░░░░ was you who made ░░░░░░░░ words come true It ░░░░░░░░ the faith that you ░░░░░░░░ placed in me and ░░░░░░░░ latitude that you had ░░░░░░░░ me that enabled me ░░░░░░░░ shatter the marble ceiling ░░░░░░░░ be the first woman ░░░░░░░░ of the House whose ░░░░░░░░ would certainly be heard ░░░░░░░░ was a historic moment ░░░░░░░░ our country and it ░░░░░░░░ momentous for our community ░░░░░░░░ me to bring home ░░░░░░░░ of dollars for our ░░░░░░░░ and our state With ░░░░░░░░ resources we have powered ░░░░░░░░ progress For health care ░░░░░░░░ the fight against HIV ░░░░░░░░ to the Affordable Care ░░░░░░░░ For transportation extending BART ░░░░░░░░ Caltrain creating the Third ░░░░░░░░ Light Rail and the ░░░░░░░░ Subway and strengthening our ░░░░░░░░ Golden Gate Bridge all ░░░░░░░░ good paying jobs For ░░░░░░░░ enabling nonprofits to build ░░░░░░░░ low income community based ░░░░░░░░ with the Low Income ░░░░░░░░ Tax Credit For the ░░░░░░░░ from protecting clean air ░░░░░░░░ water to taking action ░░░░░░░░ climate to transforming the ░░░░░░░░ from a military post ░░░░░░░░ a national park a ░░░░░░░░ for the nation Of ░░░░░░░░ credit for this work ░░░░░░░░ goes to our brothers ░░░░░░░░ sisters in labor and ░░░░░░░░ was also made possible ░░░░░░░░ the entrepreneurial spirit of ░░░░░░░░ private and nonprofit sectors ░░░░░░░░ can be proud of ░░░░░░░░ we have country around the world ░░░░░░░░ patriotism and pride I ░░░░░░░░ to my colleagues in ░░░░░░░░ House all the time ░░░░░░░░ matter what title they ░░░░░░░░ bestowed upon me speaker ░░░░░░░░ whip there has been ░░░░░░░░ greater honor for me ░░░░░░░░ to stand on the ░░░░░░░░ floor and say I ░░░░░░░░ for the people of ░░░░░░░░ Francisco I have truly ░░░░░░░░ serving as your voice ░░░░░░░░ Congress and
