Riley: Obama ‘Urging Black Americans To Continue To See Themselves as Victims’

Jason Riley The issue ░░░░░░░░ t whether racism still ░░░░░░░░ in America The issue ░░░░░░░░ whether racism is still ░░░░░░░░ major barrier to black ░░░░░░░░ in this country and ░░░░░░░░ the presence of a ░░░░░░░░ president in the White ░░░░░░░░ is a sign of ░░░░░░░░ in this country And ░░░░░░░░ think the president is ░░░░░░░░ black Americans to continue ░░░░░░░░ see themselves as victims ░░░░░░░░ pretend that nothing has ░░░░░░░░ That s not what ░░░░░░░░ black men need to ░░░░░░░░ from the president of ░░░░░░░░ United States or the ░░░░░░░░ General What blacks need ░░░░░░░░ this president are for ░░░░░░░░ to talk about jobs ░░░░░░░░ economic growth and those ░░░░░░░░ of things They don ░░░░░░░░ need to see themselves ░░░░░░░░ victims and that s ░░░░░░░░ he s encouraging them ░░░░░░░░ do out of political ░░░░░░░░ It plays well with ░░░░░░░░ base and it s ░░░░░░░░ The agenda is to ░░░░░░░░ a certain narrative which ░░░░░░░░ blaming racism using racism ░░░░░░░░ an all purpose explanation ░░░░░░░░ what ails black America ░░░░░░░░ other words we re ░░░░░░░░ supposed to see President ░░░░░░░░ and Michelle Obama as ░░░░░░░░ America holds out for ░░░░░░░░ these days They want ░░░░░░░░ to see them as ░░░░░░░░ where nothing has really ░░░░░░░░ Don t think of ░░░░░░░░ as role models Don ░░░░░░░░ think of us as ░░░░░░░░ norm Think of us ░░░░░░░░ exceptions to the rule ░░░░░░░░ I just think that ░░░░░░░░ the wrong message President ░░░░░░░░ and Eric Holder could ░░░░░░░░ leading a real conversation ░░░░░░░░ race in this country ░░░░░░░░ could be leading a ░░░░░░░░ conversation about black criminality ░░░░░░░░ type of behavior that ░░░░░░░░ to the Eric Garner ░░░░░░░░ and the Ferguson situations ░░░░░░░░ don t want to ░░░░░░░░ that because that s ░░░░░░░░ in their political interest ░░░░░░░░ want to keep a ░░░░░░░░ out there that serves ░░░░░░░░ Democratic Party and helps ░░░░░░░░ Democratic Party keep blacks ░░░░░░░░ and that is keeping ░░░░░░░░ dependent on the government ░░░░░░░░ dependent on seeing themselves ░░░░░░░░ victims.
