BURCHETT I will introduce ░░░░░░░░ friend Cortez Come up ░░░░░░░░ speak Thanks Cortez Ocasio ░░░░░░░░ That s good Thank ░░░░░░░░ thank you Tim Good ░░░░░░░░ everyone Hope everyone s ░░░░░░░░ well I got to ░░░░░░░░ I know it was ░░░░░░░░ what was it like ░░░░░░░░ or seven years ago ░░░░░░░░ Chip that you and ░░░░░░░░ were elected here And ░░░░░░░░ of the first conversations ░░░░░░░░ Representative Chip Roy and ░░░░░░░░ had had to do ░░░░░░░░ money in politics I ░░░░░░░░ and just in general ░░░░░░░░ you know I think ░░░░░░░░ this issue has brought ░░░░░░░░ many of us across ░░░░░░░░ political spectrum together because ░░░░░░░░ are united by the ░░░░░░░░ that people should feel ░░░░░░░░ their elected representative puts ░░░░░░░░ and their interests first ░░░░░░░░ that we are here ░░░░░░░░ and foremost to do ░░░░░░░░ job that the public ░░░░░░░░ sent us to do ░░░░░░░░ you know in many ░░░░░░░░ I feel like this ░░░░░░░░ conference and this podium ░░░░░░░░ t necessarily be facing ░░░░░░░░ here I don t ░░░░░░░░ we need to sell ░░░░░░░░ American people on this ░░░░░░░░ need to be turning ░░░░░░░░ around and making sure ░░░░░░░░ we get this thing ░░░░░░░░ the post And I ░░░░░░░░ to thank Congressman Roy ░░░░░░░░ the effort you ve ░░░░░░░░ in this Congress specifically ░░░░░░░░ move this forward And ░░░░░░░░ year we ve been ░░░░░░░░ closer And I do ░░░░░░░░ as we said that ░░░░░░░░ year we re going ░░░░░░░░ get the vote And ░░░░░░░░ also want to thank ░░░░░░░░ Fitzpatrick as well for ░░░░░░░░ here you go for ░░░░░░░░ of the work that ░░░░░░░░ ve done in co ░░░░░░░░ our original bill on ░░░░░░░░ But it s very ░░░░░░░░ I feel in Washington ░░░░░░░░ when we bring multiple ░░░░░░░░ and folks together to ░░░░░░░░ on a bill that ░░░░░░░░ leave that room feeling ░░░░░░░░ the bill got better ░░░░░░░░ lot of times it ░░░░░░░░ that we ll get ░░░░░░░░ an agreement and we ░░░░░░░░ holding our nose to ░░░░░░░░ something past the post ░░░░░░░░ I genuinely feel in ░░░░░░░░ process that in putting ░░░░░░░░ of our bills together ░░░░░░░░ ve actually ended up ░░░░░░░░ a product that is ░░░░░░░░ stronger than the sum ░░░░░░░░ its parts And it ░░░░░░░░ one of those rare ░░░░░░░░ where I feel like ░░░░░░░░ is working the way ░░░░░░░░ it s supposed to ░░░░░░░░ and it feels foreign ░░░░░░░░ it feels alien and ░░░░░░░░ s like What s ░░░░░░░░ on here But I ░░░░░░░░ think it is proof ░░░░░░░░ things can work here ░░░░░░░░ when we put our ░░░░░░░░ aside of which of ░░░░░░░░ there may be many ░░░░░░░░ we focus on the ░░░░░░░░ that we have in ░░░░░░░░ we can make our ░░░░░░░░ better we can make ░░░░░░░░ institution better and we ░░░░░░░░ increase and earn the ░░░░░░░░ of the American people ░░░░░░░░ is really genuinely the ░░░░░░░░ of our work here ░░░░░░░░ so to that end ░░░░░░░░ want to thank everyone ░░░░░░░░ their incredibly hard work ░░░░░░░░ are going to get ░░░░░░░░ done It requires standing ░░░░░░░░ against the powers that ░░░░░░░░ But because of the ░░░░░░░░ of the American people ░░░░░░░░ this issue you all ░░░░░░░░ generated the momentum necessary ░░░░░░░░ give us the power ░░░░░░░░ be able to do ░░░░░░░░ And I look forward ░░░░░░░░ bringing this to a ░░░░░░░░ I look forward to ░░░░░░░░ the trading of individual ░░░░░░░░ on the floor by ░░░░░░░░ of Congress And I ░░░░░░░░ looking forward to making ░░░░░░░░ place a better place ░░░░░░░░ puts the American people ░░░░░░░░ So thank you all ░░░░░░░░ much.”
