░░░░░░░░ would through gerrymandering increase ░░░░░░░░ number of GOP seats ░░░░░░░░ the House What should ░░░░░░░░ Democrat s response be ░░░░░░░░ gt Yeah So look ░░░░░░░░ is literally redrawing lines ░░░░░░░░ that you can pick ░░░░░░░░ voters I mean it ░░░░░░░░ it is ridiculous I ░░░░░░░░ had a gerrymandered seat ░░░░░░░░ Michigan when I ran ░░░░░░░░ first time And to ░░░░░░░░ you an example of ░░░░░░░░ insane gerrymandering is I ░░░░░░░░ uh Oakland University in ░░░░░░░░ district but not the ░░░░░░░░ They drew they drew ░░░░░░░░ the dorms because the ░░░░░░░░ might have more Democrats ░░░░░░░░ them right So it ░░░░░░░░ a Republican seat drawn ░░░░░░░░ be Republican So Michigan ░░░░░░░░ so disgusted with this ░░░░░░░░ way of drawing lines ░░░░░░░░ we passed a constitutional ░░░░░░░░ We now have an ░░░░░░░░ citizens commission that draws ░░░░░░░░ lines every 10 years ░░░░░░░░ that they re fair ░░░░░░░░ competitive And that s ░░░░░░░░ Um and in in ░░░░░░░░ normal world we would ░░░░░░░░ that in every state ░░░░░░░░ wouldn t be able ░░░░░░░░ politically draw So what ░░░░░░░░ president has done is ░░░░░░░░ the Texas government to ░░░░░░░░ these lines instead of ░░░░░░░░ 10 years every five ░░░░░░░░ give him gt gt ░░░░░░░░ lo and behold the ░░░░░░░░ seats that he wants ░░░░░░░░ keep the house in ░░░░░░░░ Um and look I ░░░░░░░░ t stand that he ░░░░░░░░ doing that but I ░░░░░░░░ not going to be ░░░░░░░░ one again bringing a ░░░░░░░░ to a gunfight If ░░░░░░░░ s going to go ░░░░░░░░ so am I And ░░░░░░░░ states are going to ░░░░░░░░ the same thing No ░░░░░░░░ wants it gt gt ░░░░░░░░ Michigan but like California ░░░░░░░░ something like that gt ░░░░░░░░ And and so I ░░░░░░░░ I just think you ░░░░░░░░ that we know what ░░░░░░░░ be happening but in ░░░░░░░░ world right now we ░░░░░░░░ not choosing you know ░░░░░░░░ other what the other ░░░░░░░░ is doing So if ░░░░░░░░ re going to bring ░░░░░░░░ I m going to ░░░░░░░░ fire too Well after ░░░░░░░░ after after your work ░░░░░░░░ the Middle East uh ░░░░░░░░ knowledge of war zones ░░░░░░░░ work for the Defense ░░░░░░░░ um what is your ░░░░░░░░ on what the United ░░░░░░░░ attitude should be toward ░░░░░░░░ human rights in a ░░░░░░░░ of conflict and very ░░░░░░░░ let s talk about ░░░░░░░░ crisis that s going ░░░░░░░░ in Gaza right now ░░░░░░░░ United States is an ░░░░░░░░ of Israel Yes the ░░░░░░░░ of October 7th were ░░░░░░░░ horrific but gt gt ░░░░░░░░ are children starving in ░░░░░░░░ right now What should ░░░░░░░░ United States responsibility and ░░░░░░░░ be here gt gt ░░░░░░░░ So for me again ░░░░░░░░ I were all prisoners ░░░░░░░░ our experience and I ░░░░░░░░ these three tours in ░░░░░░░░ alongside the military in ░░░░░░░░ war zone right Um ░░░░░░░░ you know was working ░░░░░░░░ Rammani right outside Fallujah ░░░░░░░░ American citizens were terribly ░░░░░░░░ killed pulled behind vehicles ░░░░░░░░ up terrible things But ░░░░░░░░ still had a responsibility ░░░░░░░░ the occupying power to ░░░░░░░░ humanitarian aid into that ░░░░░░░░ And that to me ░░░░░░░░ the fundamental conversation here ░░░░░░░░ what s going on ░░░░░░░░ Gaza Um no one ░░░░░░░░ that it s a ░░░░░░░░ standing painful war that ░░░░░░░░ have been losing for ░░░░░░░░ right But to me ░░░░░░░░ responsibility to get humanitarian ░░░░░░░░ in is not an ░░░░░░░░ question We know what ░░░░░░░░ answer is And just ░░░░░░░░ literally today we put ░░░░░░░░ like you know Michigan ░░░░░░░░ a state that has ░░░░░░░░ largest Arab and Muslim ░░░░░░░░ population in the country ░░░░░░░░ very large Jewish population ░░░░░░░░ ton of people feel ░░░░░░░░ at a very visceral ░░░░░░░░ family level Um and ░░░░░░░░ the first time in ░░░░░░░░ past week I had ░░░░░░░░ rabbi and a Muslim ░░░░░░░░ come to me and ░░░░░░░░ we want to do ░░░░░░░░ together We desperately we ░░░░░░░░ pay for all of ░░░░░░░░ Will buy all the ░░░░░░░░ baby formula and all ░░░░░░░░ clean water Please can ░░░░░░░░ just greenlight that aid ░░░░░░░░ getting in no matter ░░░░░░░░ s going on with ░░░░░░░░ no matter what s ░░░░░░░░ Um we put that ░░░░░░░░ that out pushed it ░░░░░░░░ Rubio today Secretary Rubio ░░░░░░░░ that to me is ░░░░░░░░ people of of many ░░░░░░░░ faiths understand that humanitarian ░░░░░░░░ getting into children is ░░░░░░░░ American value a Jewish ░░░░░░░░ and a Muslim value ░░░░░░░░ that to me is ░░░░░░░░ it s a it ░░░░░░░░ a a requirement gt ░░░░░░░░ ultimately even even for ░░░░░░░░ for American citizens who ░░░░░░░░ staunch allies of Israel ░░░░░░░░ it what what do ░░░░░░░░ imagine is the endgame ░░░░░░░░ Israel here Because certainly ░░░░░░░░ international community sees the ░░░░░░░░ of thousands of deaths ░░░░░░░░ the of the Gazins ░░░░░░░░ the Palestinians as uh ░░░░░░░░ uh at this point ░░░░░░░░ horrific crime not commensurate ░░░░░░░░ the horror albeit the ░░░░░░░░ of October 7th Do ░░░░░░░░ think that Israel might ░░░░░░░░ harming itself Because you ░░░░░░░░ got countries ready to ░░░░░░░░ this a genocide But ░░░░░░░░ does that help the ░░░░░░░░ of Isra who who ░░░░░░░░ very strongly and have ░░░░░░░░ said you know Israel ░░░░░░░░ the right to exist ░░░░░░░░ has the right to ░░░░░░░░ safe It has the ░░░░░░░░ to live its own ░░░░░░░░ Um the the conversations ░░░░░░░░ we have with Israeli ░░░░░░░░ is like this is ░░░░░░░░ helping your long term ░░░░░░░░ right We understand that ░░░░░░░░ have to any country ░░░░░░░░ the world responds to ░░░░░░░░ attack like October 7th ░░░░░░░░ we would too right ░░░░░░░░ the the way that ░░░░░░░░ is being carried out ░░░░░░░░ particularly some of the ░░░░░░░░
