Rep. Chip Roy in Kerrville, Texas: ‘Extremely Proud of This Community; Let’s Finish the Job’

RUSH TRANSCRIPT Five Questions ░░░░░░░░ this time I m ░░░░░░░░ to introduce You to ░░░░░░░░ States representative Chip Roy ░░░░░░░░ s going to Say ░░░░░░░░ few words Thank you ░░░░░░░░ I ll be brief ░░░░░░░░ know I m here ░░░░░░░░ show support for the ░░░░░░░░ You know my family ░░░░░░░░ Here to kerrville for ░░░░░░░░ of July virtually every ░░░░░░░░ Come here for Robert ░░░░░░░░ shows And we were ░░░░░░░░ to be here for ░░░░░░░░ show with Robert Earl ░░░░░░░░ beckman But you know ░░░░░░░░ are the events that ░░░░░░░░ re dealing with Today ░░░░░░░░ trying to explain to ░░░░░░░░ World That s watching ░░░░░░░░ and asking questions what ░░░░░░░░ flash flood Looks like ░░░░░░░░ you have A you ░░░░░░░░ 26 To 30 Foot ░░░░░░░░ in the water in ░░░░░░░░ matter of An hour ░░░░░░░░ to 6 A M ░░░░░░░░ a holiday And the ░░░░░░░░ that are having to ░░░░░░░░ to that I just ░░░░░░░░ really like pause take ░░░░░░░░ breath for the recriminations ░░░░░░░░ the Monday morning quarterbacking ░░░░░░░░ there s so many ░░░░░░░░ people in this community ░░░░░░░░ are responding and moving ░░░░░░░░ lives lost saving people ░░░░░░░░ camp directors And I ░░░░░░░░ going to let other ░░░░░░░░ name names and stuff ░░░░░░░░ s not my job ░░░░░░░░ but we know the ░░░░░░░░ of people that have ░░░░░░░░ heroic in trying to ░░░░░░░░ sure that the lives ░░░░░░░░ was at a minimum ░░░░░░░░ trying to recover individuals ░░░░░░░░ got a call And ░░░░░░░░ update this morning My ░░░░░░░░ School there was One ░░░░░░░░ their Schoolmates was missing ░░░░░░░░ was one of The ░░░░░░░░ she Was she was ░░░░░░░░ a mattress for 2 ░░░░░░░░ 3 hours in the ░░░░░░░░ of the night And ░░░░░░░░ know she s united ░░░░░░░░ her mom and that ░░░░░░░░ wonderful And those are ░░░░░░░░ kind of blessings that ░░░░░░░░ should be celebrating while ░░░░░░░░ re also mourning the ░░░░░░░░ of life as we ░░░░░░░░ those that didn t ░░░░░░░░ it and are Now ░░░░░░░░ with their Their lord ░░░░░░░░ I just want to ░░░░░░░░ the first responders the ░░░░░░░░ effort from the state ░░░░░░░░ federal partnerships Yesterday I ░░░░░░░░ on the phone with ░░░░░░░░ president With the secretary ░░░░░░░░ expect we ll have ░░░░░░░░ know some additional visitors ░░░░░░░░ I ll let other ░░░░░░░░ talk about that But ░░░░░░░░ couldn t even get ░░░░░░░░ conversation out with the ░░░░░░░░ trying to explain to ░░░░░░░░ what we were dealing ░░░░░░░░ That doesn t happen ░░░░░░░░ for Me but it ░░░░░░░░ me a while to ░░░░░░░░ myself to even be ░░░░░░░░ to tell her what ░░░░░░░░ were looking at And ░░░░░░░░ ve been fantastic Made ░░░░░░░░ immediately at the request ░░░░░░░░ talked to them about ░░░░░░░░ need for you know ░░░░░░░░ with the army corps ░░░░░░░░ to the secretary and ░░░░░░░░ team and their immediate ░░░░░░░░ s been an extraordinary ░░░░░░░░ I think there s ░░░░░░░░ a thousand or so ░░░░░░░░ on the ground combined ░░░░░░░░ state local and federal ░░░░░░░░ ll let them say ░░░░░░░░ numbers But obviously hundreds ░░░░░░░░ people that have been ░░░░░░░░ 160 plus air rescues ░░░░░░░░ think that number is ░░░░░░░░ up you know airlifting ░░░░░░░░ taking in Resources Some ░░░░░░░░ these camps that were ░░░░░░░░ So let s focus ░░░░░░░░ that Let s focus ░░░░░░░░ finding those who can ░░░░░░░░ found And then we ░░░░░░░░ always assess what we ░░░░░░░░ to do later going ░░░░░░░░ But extremely proud of ░░░░░░░░ community Let s finish ░░░░░░░░ job here over the ░░░░░░░░ few days Support the ░░░░░░░░ law enforcement the first ░░░░░░░░ and pray for pray ░░░░░░░░ the families, particularly
