RAMPELL So you mentioned ░░░░░░░░ the unions have come ░░░░░░░░ you They had previously ░░░░░░░░ one of your opponents ░░░░░░░░ and if you look ░░░░░░░░ the results of the ░░░░░░░░ you did very well ░░░░░░░░ higher income voters and ░░░░░░░░ well with the working ░░░░░░░░ with lower income voters ░░░░░░░░ doesn t sound like ░░░░░░░░ should jibe with your ░░░░░░░░ or your message in ░░░░░░░░ event To what do ░░░░░░░░ attribute that to that ░░░░░░░░ has taken a while ░░░░░░░░ the unions to come ░░░░░░░░ board and I guess ░░░░░░░░ don t know what ░░░░░░░░ latest polling is on ░░░░░░░░ income voters but at ░░░░░░░░ we know what what ░░░░░░░░ results were in the ░░░░░░░░ MAMDANI Well we actually ░░░░░░░░ that we won the ░░░░░░░░ of voters who made ░░░░░░░░ 000 and above And ░░░░░░░░ would say that in ░░░░░░░░ York City that is ░░░░░░░░ much a working class ░░░░░░░░ s salary And we ░░░░░░░░ many more New Yorkers ░░░░░░░░ win And ultimately we ░░░░░░░░ this race as you ░░░░░░░░ saying in the beginning ░░░░░░░░ about 1 name recognition ░░░░░░░░ that s being charitable ░░░░░░░░ myself And we began ░░░░░░░░ with a real uphill ░░░░░░░░ in introducing ourselves and ░░░░░░░░ vision and ultimately we ░░░░░░░░ the primary And yet ░░░░░░░░ know that there s ░░░░░░░░ so much more work ░░░░░░░░ be done especially when ░░░░░░░░ was running against a ░░░░░░░░ governor who was the ░░░░░░░░ of a former governor ░░░░░░░░ whose name in many ░░░░░░░░ was synonymous with politics ░░░░░░░░ yet what we show ░░░░░░░░ that it s possible ░░░░░░░░ move beyond just a ░░░░░░░░ of the past and ░░░░░░░░ present We can have ░░░░░░░░ politics of the future ░░░░░░░░ I ve been excited ░░░░░░░░ the fact that on ░░░░░░░░ night we didn t ░░░░░░░░ see an incredible increase ░░░░░░░░ Asian turnout across New ░░░░░░░░ City we didn t ░░░░░░░░ see the more than ░░░░░░░░ of turnout amongst 18 ░░░░░░░░ 24 year olds and ░░░░░░░░ for 25 to 29 ░░░░░░░░ 30 to 34 We ░░░░░░░░ saw the fact that ░░░░░░░░ won Latino voters across ░░░░░░░░ York City and we ░░░░░░░░ the gap with black ░░░░░░░░ that at one point ░░░░░░░░ been more than 50 ░░░░░░░░ to now less than ░░░░░░░░ points And so much ░░░░░░░░ the work of going ░░░░░░░░ the general election is ░░░░░░░░ continue doing that work ░░░░░░░░ introduction and earning the ░░░░░░░░ of New Yorkers across ░░░░░░░░ Five Boroughs.”
