Sen. Murphy: Everyday the Trump Bill Hangs Out There, It Becomes Less Popular

WELKER Welcome back Joining ░░░░░░░░ now is Democratic Senator ░░░░░░░░ Murphy of Connecticut Senator ░░░░░░░░ welcome back to Meet ░░░░░░░░ Press MURPHY Yeah thanks ░░░░░░░░ having me WELKER Thank ░░░░░░░░ so much for being ░░░░░░░░ As we noted it ░░░░░░░░ an incredibly busy weekend ░░░░░░░░ know you re running ░░░░░░░░ fumes as are all ░░░░░░░░ senators So we appreciate ░░░░░░░░ Let s start right ░░░░░░░░ as I was just ░░░░░░░░ with Senator Mullin there ░░░░░░░░ two Republicans who say ░░░░░░░░ are a no on ░░░░░░░░ legislation Senator Murphy do ░░░░░░░░ think there s any ░░░░░░░░ that the so called ░░░░░░░░ Beautiful Bill does not ░░░░░░░░ the Senate MURPHY I ░░░░░░░░ think there s a ░░░░░░░░ it doesn t pass ░░░░░░░░ are trying to ram ░░░░░░░░ through as quickly as ░░░░░░░░ can likely in the ░░░░░░░░ of the night tonight ░░░░░░░░ every day that this ░░░░░░░░ hangs out there it ░░░░░░░░ less popular As you ░░░░░░░░ by almost a two ░░░░░░░░ one margin the American ░░░░░░░░ hate this piece of ░░░░░░░░ because it s going ░░░░░░░░ represent the biggest transfer ░░░░░░░░ wealth and money from ░░░░░░░░ poor and the middle ░░░░░░░░ to the rich in ░░░░░░░░ history of the country ░░░░░░░░ s not about efficiencies ░░░░░░░░ Medicaid The CBO which ░░░░░░░░ the Congressional Budget Office ░░░░░░░░ says it s going ░░░░░░░░ kick between 10 and ░░░░░░░░ million people off their ░░░░░░░░ care And for what ░░░░░░░░ be able to afford ░░░░░░░░ new 270 000 tax ░░░░░░░░ for the richest families ░░░░░░░░ the country New tax ░░░░░░░░ for corporations new tax ░░░░░░░░ for billionaires This bill ░░░░░░░░ It s a moral ░░░░░░░░ Everybody that learns about ░░░░░░░░ hates it And so ░░░░░░░░ s a chance that ░░░░░░░░ won t pass That ░░░░░░░░ in part why we ░░░░░░░░ forcing them to read ░░░░░░░░ Because every single day ░░░░░░░░ people learn about it ░░░░░░░░ are flooding their members ░░░░░░░░ with calls to tell ░░░░░░░░ to stop this bill ░░░░░░░░ is asking for 16 ░░░░░░░░ people to lose their ░░░░░░░░ care just so that ░░░░░░░░ and the very rich ░░░░░░░░ get a new tax ░░░░░░░░ That s super unpopular ░░░░░░░░ we re going to ░░░░░░░░ this thing until the ░░░░░░░░ vote.”
