Brave Dad at a Naperville203 Board Meeting Calls Out Radical Gender Ideology

CUSH Mike will be ░░░░░░░░ by Doug McGregor Good ░░░░░░░░ and welcome LABELLE Good ░░░░░░░░ I m Mike LaBelle ░░░░░░░░ m a longtime district ░░░░░░░░ parent We re grateful ░░░░░░░░ the service of many ░░░░░░░░ teachers and coaches but ░░░░░░░░ profoundly concerned with the ░░░░░░░░ of the district leadership ░░░░░░░░ well as a subset ░░░░░░░░ adults set on imposing ░░░░░░░░ ideology upon our kids ░░░░░░░░ m here tonight to ░░░░░░░░ the recent events that ░░░░░░░░ widely publicized regarding what ░░░░░░░░ understood to be a ░░░░░░░░ male competing in a ░░░░░░░░ grade girls track meet ░░░░░░░░ Jefferson Middle School I ░░░░░░░░ no animus toward the ░░░░░░░░ and his family or ░░░░░░░░ students in similar situations ░░░░░░░░ grappling with issues of ░░░░░░░░ during adolescence However I ░░░░░░░░ here to speak on ░░░░░░░░ of families and and ░░░░░░░░ directly address any adults ░░░░░░░░ positions of influence that ░░░░░░░░ allowing this agenda to ░░░░░░░░ and bear responsibility for ░░░░░░░░ consequences There are numerous ░░░░░░░░ to oppose that the ░░░░░░░░ should oppose the district ░░░░░░░░ current path regarding transgender ░░░░░░░░ participating in girls sports ░░░░░░░░ the following First it ░░░░░░░░ counter to federal guidance ░░░░░░░░ Title 9 jeopardizing a ░░░░░░░░ of District 203 s ░░░░░░░░ which could therefore impact ░░░░░░░░ broader student population Second ░░░░░░░░ creates an unfair playing ░░░░░░░░ for our daughters and ░░░░░░░░ lead to related concerns ░░░░░░░░ the safety of such ░░░░░░░░ including locker rooms and ░░░░░░░░ Third with tacit approval ░░░░░░░░ educational leadership it it ░░░░░░░░ confusion amongst other students ░░░░░░░░ can also contribute to ░░░░░░░░ of social contagion that ░░░░░░░░ already been well documented ░░░░░░░░ re told this is ░░░░░░░░ personal decision that only ░░░░░░░░ one student but it ░░░░░░░░ now being coerced in ░░░░░░░░ school environment upon our ░░░░░░░░ and our families There ░░░░░░░░ a very real scenario ░░░░░░░░ this circumstance becomes even ░░░░░░░░ widespread in District 203 ░░░░░░░░ all levels undermining girls ░░░░░░░░ These situations place feelings ░░░░░░░░ reason and force other ░░░░░░░░ and families to participate ░░░░░░░░ something we all know ░░░░░░░░ a lie Parents know ░░░░░░░░ and kids understand this ░░░░░░░░ well And finally recent ░░░░░░░░ from Gallup Pew NBC ░░░░░░░░ New York Times all ░░░░░░░░ consistently shown that between ░░░░░░░░ thirds and 80 percent ░░░░░░░░ Americans support students participating ░░░░░░░░ activities that match their ░░░░░░░░ gender This is a ░░░░░░░░ view around the country ░░░░░░░░ Naperville 203 is an ░░░░░░░░ or can be an ░░░░░░░░ to where the families ░░░░░░░░ on this issue I ░░░░░░░░ the district to change ░░░░░░░░ course and also encourage ░░░░░░░░ and fathers to stand ░░░░░░░░ in good conscience and ░░░░░░░░ a positive message in ░░░░░░░░ of our kids and ░░░░░░░░ sports Please do the ░░░░░░░░ thing Thank you for ░░░░░░░░ consideration.” (Applause)
