Starbucks Barista: We Are out on Strike Because Starbucks Is Implementing a Dress Code

HALDEMAN My name is ░░░░░░░░ Haldeman I ve been ░░░░░░░░ barista at the Lincoln ░░░░░░░░ Starbucks here for a ░░░░░░░░ over three years We ░░░░░░░░ out on strike today ░░░░░░░░ Starbucks is trying to ░░░░░░░░ a new dress code ░░░░░░░░ one ever asked for ░░░░░░░░ new dress code They ░░░░░░░░ they updated a dress ░░░░░░░░ recently and it made ░░░░░░░░ looser where we can ░░░░░░░░ colors and patterns And ░░░░░░░░ they re deciding that ░░░░░░░░ can only wear black ░░░░░░░░ s very restrictive most ░░░░░░░░ us had to buy ░░░░░░░░ clothes and we can ░░░░░░░░ we can t afford ░░░░░░░░ We barely make enough ░░░░░░░░ to pay our bills ░░░░░░░░ also on top of ░░░░░░░░ they keep trying to ░░░░░░░░ all these changes in ░░░░░░░░ stores and it s ░░░░░░░░ They re not allowed ░░░░░░░░ make these changes without ░░░░░░░░ with us and voting ░░░░░░░░ this So it s ░░░░░░░░ incredibly alarming and upsetting ░░░░░░░░ Starbucks is continuing to ░░░░░░░░ illegal things to our ░░░░░░░░ stores And so we ░░░░░░░░ out here We re ░░░░░░░░ here making sure that ░░░░░░░░ know that we re ░░░░░░░░ here and that we ░░░░░░░░ fighting for that contract.”
