Mark Zuckerberg on AI: Average American Has Fewer than 3 Friends; ‘Average Person Wants More Connectivity’

Zuckerberg I think as ░░░░░░░░ personalization loop kicks in ░░░░░░░░ the AI just starts ░░░░░░░░ get to know you ░░░░░░░░ and better I think ░░░░░░░░ will just be really ░░░░░░░░ You know one thing ░░░░░░░░ from working on social ░░░░░░░░ for a long time ░░░░░░░░ there s this stat ░░░░░░░░ I always think is ░░░░░░░░ The average American I ░░░░░░░░ has I think it ░░░░░░░░ fewer than three friends ░░░░░░░░ people they consider friends ░░░░░░░░ the average person has ░░░░░░░░ for meaningfully more I ░░░░░░░░ it s like 15 ░░░░░░░░ or something right I ░░░░░░░░ there s probably some ░░░░░░░░ where you re like ░░░░░░░░ I m just too ░░░░░░░░ I can t deal ░░░░░░░░ more people But the ░░░░░░░░ person wants more connectivity ░░░░░░░░ than they have So ░░░░░░░░ know there s a ░░░░░░░░ of questions that people ░░░░░░░░ of stuff like OK ░░░░░░░░ this going to replace ░░░░░░░░ of in person connections ░░░░░░░░ real life connections And ░░░░░░░░ default is that the ░░░░░░░░ to that is probably ░░░░░░░░ I think it you ░░░░░░░░ I think that there ░░░░░░░░ all these things that ░░░░░░░░ better about kind of ░░░░░░░░ connections when you can ░░░░░░░░ them but the reality ░░░░░░░░ that people just don ░░░░░░░░ have the connection and ░░░░░░░░ feel more alone a ░░░░░░░░ of the time than ░░░░░░░░ would like So I ░░░░░░░░ that a lot of ░░░░░░░░ things that today there ░░░░░░░░ be a little bit ░░░░░░░░ a stigma around I ░░░░░░░░ guess that over time ░░░░░░░░ will find the vocabulary ░░░░░░░░ a society to be ░░░░░░░░ to articulate why that ░░░░░░░░ valuable and why the ░░░░░░░░ who are doing these ░░░░░░░░ are like why they ░░░░░░░░ rational for doing it ░░░░░░░░ like and how it ░░░░░░░░ adding value for their ░░░░░░░░ But also I think ░░░░░░░░ the field is very ░░░░░░░░ So I mean it ░░░░░░░░ I think you know ░░░░░░░░ are a handful of ░░░░░░░░ and stuff who are ░░░░░░░░ virtual therapist and you ░░░░░░░░ there s like virtual ░░░░░░░░ type stuff but it ░░░░░░░░ it’s very early.”
