LGBT Teacher Says Most of Her Students Are Trans and Non-Binary

UNKNOWN Thank you so ░░░░░░░░ So I m here ░░░░░░░░ the co chair of ░░░░░░░░ Trans and Non Binary ░░░░░░░░ of the BLEU I ░░░░░░░░ here as a teacher ░░░░░░░░ m here as an ░░░░░░░░ But I want to ░░░░░░░░ to you as a ░░░░░░░░ I teach of an ░░░░░░░░ provision where most of ░░░░░░░░ students are trans and ░░░░░░░░ binary To be clear ░░░░░░░░ did not make them ░░░░░░░░ School was like that ░░░░░░░░ I got there However ░░░░░░░░ come to us not ░░░░░░░░ of some inherent flaw ░░░░░░░░ because they are kids ░░░░░░░░ of the mainstream education ░░░░░░░░ Their gender expression is ░░░░░░░░ as a dismissal of ░░░░░░░░ policy Their self advocacy ░░░░░░░░ seen as defiance Their ░░░░░░░░ is seen as something ░░░░░░░░ anguish not pride However ░░░░░░░░ sit there we work ░░░░░░░░ them We do our ░░░░░░░░ to walk through that ░░░░░░░░ and show them that ░░░░░░░░ does not need to ░░░░░░░░ an act of silencing ░░░░░░░░ it is done properly ░░░░░░░░ and Applause The guidance ░░░░░░░░ the previous government put ░░░░░░░░ and that our governor ░░░░░░░░ currently honoring is nothing ░░░░░░░░ than despicable There is ░░░░░░░░ reason why our students ░░░░░░░░ be themselves within our ░░░░░░░░ Cheering and Applause No ░░░░░░░░ at all So I ░░░░░░░░ you speak to your ░░░░░░░░ speak to your friends ░░░░░░░░ to your families Hell ░░░░░░░░ to that Facebook group ░░░░░░░░ that Karen in your ░░░░░░░░ area Speak to your ░░░░░░░░ club speak to your ░░░░░░░░ area because when I ░░░░░░░░ back into school on ░░░░░░░░ I want to be ░░░░░░░░ to tell my kids ░░░░░░░░ when the systems in ░░░░░░░░ fail to protect us ░░░░░░░░ fight back!”
