Welker Presses Cory Booker if Dems Have ‘Any Evidence’ of Insider Trading: There’s ‘Legitimate Questions’

WELKER You know some ░░░░░░░░ your Democratic colleagues are ░░░░░░░░ calling for an investigation ░░░░░░░░ whether or not there ░░░░░░░░ insider trading the president ░░░░░░░░ it s a good ░░░░░░░░ to buy and then ░░░░░░░░ course hitting the pause ░░░░░░░░ on some of those ░░░░░░░░ Do you believe that ░░░░░░░░ have any real evidence ░░░░░░░░ anyone in the administration ░░░░░░░░ off of the president ░░░░░░░░ policies and announcements or ░░░░░░░░ this just a fishing ░░░░░░░░ BOOKER You know here ░░░░░░░░ the problem with Donald ░░░░░░░░ and Congressional Republicans is ░░░░░░░░ whole system was designed ░░░░░░░░ have checks and balances ░░░░░░░░ Trump has designed an ░░░░░░░░ like None we ve ░░░░░░░░ seen before He is ░░░░░░░░ the very agencies that ░░░░░░░░ supposed to have independent ░░░░░░░░ of these kind of ░░░░░░░░ So we see him ░░░░░░░░ people based upon their ░░░░░░░░ not amongst not based ░░░░░░░░ their expertise The real ░░░░░░░░ that should be holding ░░░░░░░░ and accountability and even ░░░░░░░░ oversight is Congress But ░░░░░░░░ every WELKER But is ░░░░░░░░ any evidence Senator BOOKER ░░░░░░░░ thing he s done ░░░░░░░░ Do you think there ░░░░░░░░ any evidence that anyone ░░░░░░░░ off of these tariffs ░░░░░░░░ There is enough of ░░░░░░░░ offense here there s ░░░░░░░░ smoke here that should ░░░░░░░░ congressional hearings We are ░░░░░░░░ separate and equal Branch ░░░░░░░░ government the Constitution lays ░░░░░░░░ very clearly that Congress ░░░░░░░░ not supposed to be ░░░░░░░░ and submissive It is ░░░░░░░░ to hold oversight over ░░░░░░░░ president These are real ░░░░░░░░ justifiable questions And not ░░░░░░░░ have hearings not to ░░░░░░░░ any kind of oversight ░░░░░░░░ the faith we have ░░░░░░░░ our government undermines the ░░░░░░░░ we need in our ░░░░░░░░ right now And so ░░░░░░░░ the Signal gate all ░░░░░░░░ way to these kind ░░░░░░░░ symbols or signs of ░░░░░░░░ Congress should be doing ░░░░░░░░ job.”
