High School Student Gets Removed from Girl’s Varsity and Is Replaced by a Male Transfer Student

STARLING Good morning members ░░░░░░░░ the committee My name ░░░░░░░░ Taylor Starling I m ░░░░░░░░ years old and I ░░░░░░░░ Martin Luther King High ░░░░░░░░ I have a 4 ░░░░░░░░ GPA I serve as ░░░░░░░░ president of my junior ░░░░░░░░ and lead us and ░░░░░░░░ with National Women s ░░░░░░░░ League and lead us ░░░░░░░░ of my school s ░░░░░░░░ country and track and ░░░░░░░░ teams I was removed ░░░░░░░░ my varsity girls team ░░░░░░░░ replaced by a newly ░░░░░░░░ male transfer student who ░░░░░░░░ favorable treatment I worked ░░░░░░░░ day during summer with ░░░░░░░░ team and into the ░░░░░░░░ year six days a ░░░░░░░░ waking up at 5 ░░░░░░░░ A M to attend ░░░░░░░░ practices and staying at ░░░░░░░░ until 4 45 each ░░░░░░░░ My goal was to ░░░░░░░░ a varsity spot on ░░░░░░░░ school s Division One ░░░░░░░░ team Not an easy ░░░░░░░░ but one I accomplished ░░░░░░░░ the start of the ░░░░░░░░ in August I ran ░░░░░░░░ every varsity race In ░░░░░░░░ October the male transfer ░░░░░░░░ was given my spot ░░░░░░░░ not being held to ░░░░░░░░ same strict team requirements ░░░░░░░░ me and the rest ░░░░░░░░ the girls He did ░░░░░░░░ have to attend practice ░░░░░░░░ my team and I ░░░░░░░░ running seven miles a ░░░░░░░░ together After having my ░░░░░░░░ taken away from me ░░░░░░░░ I earned I missed ░░░░░░░░ on running with my ░░░░░░░░ team in one of ░░░░░░░░ top cross country invitationals ░░░░░░░░ the season As a ░░░░░░░░ of this unfair treatment ░░░░░░░░ teammate Caitlin and I ░░░░░░░░ shirts that said Save ░░░░░░░░ Sports and stated that ░░░░░░░░ and girls are different ░░░░░░░░ s common sense XX ░░░░░░░░ not equal XY This ░░░░░░░░ not hateful or unkind ░░░░░░░░ is reality However our ░░░░░░░░ director made me remove ░░░░░░░░ shirt and told me ░░░░░░░░ was like wearing a ░░░░░░░░ in front of a ░░░░░░░░ person and said that ░░░░░░░░ would face disciplinary action ░░░░░░░░ I wore it again ░░░░░░░░ Title IX and free ░░░░░░░░ rights as a female ░░░░░░░░ to me Why are ░░░░░░░░ being told that we ░░░░░░░░ sit down and be ░░░░░░░░ while boys unfairly get ░░░░░░░░ of us in life ░░░░░░░░ do boys not have ░░░░░░░░ attend practice and make ░░░░░░░░ sacrifices that us girls ░░░░░░░░ in order to be ░░░░░░░░ athletes Just because those ░░░░░░░░ believe they are transgender ░░░░░░░░ matter too Please protect ░░░░░░░░ Thank you.”
