░░░░░░░░ was obviously terrifying for ░░░░░░░░ Miss urk it s ░░░░░░░░ terrifying for our country ░░░░░░░░ that you could have ░░░░░░░░ agents unidentified swoop in ░░░░░░░░ off the streets and ░░░░░░░░ disappear her uh to ░░░░░░░░ apparently against a court ░░░░░░░░ uh for exercising First ░░░░░░░░ rights this should not ░░░░░░░░ happening in America this ░░░░░░░░ the kind of secret ░░░░░░░░ operation you would expect ░░░░░░░░ see in authoritarian regimes ░░░░░░░░ in in addition to ░░░░░░░░ fact that they weren ░░░░░░░░ clear about where she ░░░░░░░░ going they have yet ░░░░░░░░ being DHS to publicly ░░░░░░░░ the alleged activities that ░░░░░░░░ to her and that ░░░░░░░░ a pattern Senator that ░░░░░░░░ you know is emerging ░░░░░░░░ does the lack of ░░░░░░░░ on the part of ░░░░░░░░ tell you about their ░░░░░░░░ well it tells us ░░░░░░░░ they have no legal ░░░░░░░░ that they want to ░░░░░░░░ least present to the ░░░░░░░░ because everyone will see ░░░░░░░░ how flimsy it is ░░░░░░░░ what appears to be ░░░░░░░░ is they re snatching ░░░░░░░░ individuals based on their ░░░░░░░░ of free speech rights ░░░░░░░░ because of their Pro ░░░░░░░░ advocacy and in our ░░░░░░░░ you can exercise your ░░░░░░░░ to controversial speech and ░░░░░░░░ government is not allowed ░░░░░░░░ punish you for it ░░░░░░░░ s no crime alleged ░░░░░░░░ any of these cases ░░░░░░░░ appears to be based ░░░░░░░░ on what these individuals ░░░░░░░░ and that is illegal ░░░░░░░░ the First Amendment does ░░░░░░░░ individuals who are here ░░░░░░░░ in the United States ░░░░░░░░ let s talk about ░░░░░░░░ because The New York ░░░░░░░░ note that some of ░░░░░░░░ tactics that we are ░░░░░░░░ they re not particularly ░░░░░░░░ but what is Shifting ░░░░░░░░ the targets immigrants with ░░░░░░░░ visas and legal status ░░░░░░░░ fact that they are ░░░░░░░░ these theories Senator on ░░░░░░░░ who have one step ░░░░░░░░ from American citizenship they ░░░░░░░░ have a series of ░░░░░░░░ Protections in this country ░░░░░░░░ they are not being ░░░░░░░░ due process what should ░░░░░░░░ tell us about their ░░░░░░░░ of applying some of ░░░░░░░░ same Concepts ideas to ░░░░░░░░ citizens right as you ░░░░░░░░ see in cases of ░░░░░░░░ regimes that you know ░░░░░░░░ begin by focusing on ░░░░░░░░ the weakest links people ░░░░░░░░ they think have less ░░░░░░░░ and less protections um ░░░░░░░░ a first step for ░░░░░░░░ for everybody else and ░░░░░░░░ s why it s ░░░░░░░░ important that we take ░░░░░░░░ seriously not only to ░░░░░░░░ the rights of these ░░░░░░░░ but because this is ░░░░░░░░ slippery slope and I ░░░░░░░░ the Trump Administration clearly ░░░░░░░░ testing the limits of ░░░░░░░░ powers I think they ░░░░░░░░ very clearly overstepped their ░░░░░░░░ Powers uh in these ░░░░░░░░ I hope judges will ░░░░░░░░ them in um because ░░░░░░░░ are these are core ░░░░░░░░ now they are trying ░░░░░░░░ dig up McCarthy era ░░░░░░░░ in some cases and ░░░░░░░░ stretch their meaning be ░░░░░░░░ any plausible application you ░░░░░░░░ it s interesting I ░░░░░░░░ I am looking as ░░░░░░░░ came on a we ░░░░░░░░ this ruling that is ░░░░░░░░ to pause her her ░░░░░░░░ one the fact that ░░░░░░░░ case law El ░░░░░░░░ this Administration chooses to ░░░░░░░░ court orders well that ░░░░░░░░ exactly right I mean ░░░░░░░░ they go over that ░░░░░░░░ wire it s going ░░░░░░░░ be very important for ░░░░░░░░ things to happen one ░░░░░░░░ judges need to exercise ░░░░░░░░ power to sanction individuals ░░░░░░░░ defy court orders I ░░░░░░░░ know that judges don ░░░░░░░░ want to take that ░░░░░░░░ but they really have ░░░░░░░░ uh and then it ░░░░░░░░ going to be important ░░░░░░░░ members of Congress on ░░░░░░░░ bipartisan basis to stand ░░░░░░░░ and protect the rule ░░░░░░░░ law now I I ░░░░░░░░ not seen Republicans doing ░░░░░░░░ to date right A ░░░░░░░░ of them will quietly ░░░░░░░░ concerns about what s ░░░░░░░░ but they re still ░░░░░░░░ afraid of a of ░░░░░░░░ statement or tweet from ░░░░░░░░ Trump or Elon Musk ░░░░░░░░ and that is terrifying ░░░░░░░░ if they can t ░░░░░░░░ up or won t ░░░░░░░░ up to protect the ░░░░░░░░ and the Constitution we ░░░░░░░░ in a very deep ░░░░░░░░ hole we re already ░░░░░░░░ but we are going ░░░░░░░░ dig ourselves deeper if ░░░░░░░░ don t stand up ░░░░░░░░ s why it s ░░░░░░░░ I ve said today ░░░░░░░░ we have to applaud ░░░░░░░░ stand up for the ░░░░░░░░ firms and the universities ░░░░░░░░ colleges that are standing ░░░░░░░░ to Trump s bullying ░░░░░░░░ we have to we ░░░░░░░░ to say that those ░░░░░░░░ are caving in um ░░░░░░░░ making a huge mistake ░░░░░░░░ s a short road ░░░░░░░░ Tony when people start ░░░░░░░░ into Donald Trump s ░░░░░░░░ illegal bullying I think ░░░░░░░░ when you talk about ░░░░░░░░ memos you talk about ░░░░░░░░ after law firms which ░░░░░░░░ fully agree is is ░░░░░░░░ and critical and it ░░░░░░░░ where we began this ░░░░░░░░ that can seem so ░░░░░░░░ and I think part ░░░░░░░░ what makes this story ░░░░░░░░ in which ░░░░░░░░ Administration is acting with ░░░░░░░░ so the short answer ░░░░░░░░ some privately um I ░░░░░░░░ next week I I ░░░░░░░░ going to directly approach ░░░░░░░░ of my Republican Senate ░░░░░░░░ uh who have said ░░░░░░░░ they are champions of ░░░░░░░░ First Amendment uh to ░░░░░░░░ together to make a ░░░░░░░░ statement about this and ░░░░░░░░ ll see what happens ░░░░░░░░ because you
