BLITZER All right let ░░░░░░░░ get some Democratic reaction ░░░░░░░░ all the things that ░░░░░░░░ unfolding up on Capitol ░░░░░░░░ Democratic Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett ░░░░░░░░ Texas is joining us ░░░░░░░░ in The Situation Room ░░░░░░░░ thanks so much for ░░░░░░░░ us You heard the ░░░░░░░░ Speaker I assume you ░░░░░░░░ what he said He ░░░░░░░░ basically blaming the Democrats ░░░░░░░░ like you If this ░░░░░░░░ resolution is defeated in ░░░░░░░░ House later today Crockett ░░░░░░░░ he can t blame ░░░░░░░░ for not wanting to ░░░░░░░░ his doormat or for ░░░░░░░░ Democrats not wanting to ░░░░░░░░ their doormat I mean ░░░░░░░░ we consistently hear from ░░░░░░░░ is they have this ░░░░░░░░ that the American people ░░░░░░░░ them Well I am ░░░░░░░░ that I have a ░░░░░░░░ from my district and ░░░░░░░░ does not involve cutting ░░░░░░░░ cutting Medicare And if ░░░░░░░░ re going to just ░░░░░░░░ on this continuing resolution ░░░░░░░░ s talk about it ░░░░░░░░ I know you just ░░░░░░░░ to my other colleague ░░░░░░░░ Texas and he was ░░░░░░░░ about the increase in ░░░░░░░░ for certain service members ░░░░░░░░ not talking about the ░░░░░░░░ that those that have ░░░░░░░░ served our country our ░░░░░░░░ that they re going ░░░░░░░░ lose so much of ░░░░░░░░ care We know that ░░░░░░░░ now they re looking ░░░░░░░░ cut close to 80 ░░░░░░░░ people from the Veterans ░░░░░░░░ And then in addition ░░░░░░░░ that in this CR ░░░░░░░░ the money for bills ░░░░░░░░ we ve passed before ░░░░░░░░ that extra money that ░░░░░░░░ put in for the ░░░░░░░░ burn pits they want ░░░░░░░░ take that out So ░░░░░░░░ should not be an ░░░░░░░░ or when it comes ░░░░░░░░ those that have served ░░░░░░░░ country or those that ░░░░░░░░ willing to serve our ░░░░░░░░ And right now they ░░░░░░░░ pitting them against one ░░░░░░░░ We see as they ░░░░░░░░ decided they re not ░░░░░░░░ to do any more ░░░░░░░░ halls so I don ░░░░░░░░ know if Tony even ░░░░░░░░ what his constituents want ░░░░░░░░ they are consistently getting ░░░░░░░░ against because of the ░░░░░░░░ that they re treating ░░░░░░░░ by making sure that ░░░░░░░░ firings they re not ░░░░░░░░ up for the people ░░░░░░░░ re not standing up ░░░░░░░░ the House So no ░░░░░░░░ m not going to ░░░░░░░░ for the continuing resolution ░░░░░░░░ Republicans control the House ░░░░░░░░ Senate and the White ░░░░░░░░ If they want to ░░░░░░░░ their draconian stuff passed ░░░░░░░░ s going to hurt ░░░░░░░░ constituents They re going ░░░░░░░░ do it by themselves ░░░░░░░░ And what s very ░░░░░░░░ is that so many ░░░░░░░░ who work in federal ░░░░░░░░ agencies are now being ░░░░░░░░ for various reasons as ░░░░░░░░ result Crockett Yep Yep ░░░░░░░░ Approximately one third of ░░░░░░░░ workforce for the federal ░░░░░░░░ they re veterans BLITZER ░░░░░░░░ And we want to ░░░░░░░░ sure that those veterans ░░░░░░░░ protected by all means ░░░░░░░░ Yep.”
