SIDNER Because you are ░░░░░░░░ Minnesota attorney general and ░░░░░░░░ well versed and took ░░░░░░░░ in the trial of ░░░░░░░░ Chauvin the officer who ░░░░░░░░ former officer who murdered ░░░░░░░░ Floyd I got to ░░░░░░░░ you about this Elon ░░░░░░░░ tweeted a post asking ░░░░░░░░ Trump to pardon convicted ░░░░░░░░ Derek Chauvin of the ░░░░░░░░ civil rights charges that ░░░░░░░░ pleaded guilty to Musk ░░░░░░░░ enormous power Ellison Right ░░░░░░░░ and influence with Donald ░░░░░░░░ What do you think ░░░░░░░░ this Ellison I think ░░░░░░░░ it is sadly another ░░░░░░░░ of blatant disrespect for ░░░░░░░░ law blatant disrespect for ░░░░░░░░ Floyd and his family ░░░░░░░░ people who remember those ░░░░░░░░ very ugly days of ░░░░░░░░ I mean May 2020 ░░░░░░░░ I also think that ░░░░░░░░ know it does matter ░░░░░░░░ matters a lot But ░░░░░░░░ want listeners to know ░░░░░░░░ his state charges where ░░░░░░░░ got 22 years 22 ░░░░░░░░ a half years will ░░░░░░░░ no matter what Trump ░░░░░░░░ Those convictions are solid ░░░░░░░░ I hope that Donald ░░░░░░░░ has enough humanity to ░░░░░░░░ that releasing Derek Chauvin ░░░░░░░░ cause untold injury to ░░░░░░░░ Floyd s family and ░░░░░░░░ many many people who ░░░░░░░░ vulnerable because you know ░░░░░░░░ share experiences like the ░░░░░░░░ SIDNER The family said ░░░░░░░░ George Floyd experienced SIDNER ░░░░░░░░ I ve spoken with ░░░░░░░░ brothers of George Floyd ░░░░░░░░ said this would set ░░░░░░░░ back and set the ░░░░░░░░ back 400 years So ░░░░░░░░ Yeah SIDNER ultimately do ░░░░░░░░ agree with that Ellison ░░░░░░░░ do agree It would ░░░░░░░░ us back as a ░░░░░░░░ We took great steps ░░░░░░░░ There s 18 000 ░░░░░░░░ departments across the United ░░░░░░░░ After the murder of ░░░░░░░░ Floyd many of them ░░░░░░░░ a reflective moment and ░░░░░░░░ a lot of things ░░░░░░░░ try to improve police ░░░░░░░░ relationships And you know ░░░░░░░░ departments depend on trust ░░░░░░░░ Derek Chauvin destroyed that ░░░░░░░░ And they ve been ░░░░░░░░ to rebuild it So ░░░░░░░░ is actually really hurting ░░░░░░░░ enforcement because what you ░░░░░░░░ saying is good conduct ░░░░░░░░ conduct it doesn t ░░░░░░░░ You get to murder ░░░░░░░░ if you want to ░░░░░░░░ so for every chief ░░░░░░░░ every police officer out ░░░░░░░░ striving to make a ░░░░░░░░ department with a better ░░░░░░░░ with their community it ░░░░░░░░ a spit in the ░░░░░░░░ of them, too.”
