Tlaib They re never ░░░░░░░░ to be checked on ░░░░░░░░ fact that they re ░░░░░░░░ our communities in a ░░░░░░░░ where I have a ░░░░░░░░ with six year old ░░░░░░░░ that has to put ░░░░░░░░ in a breathing machine ░░░░░░░░ literally they live in ░░░░░░░░ shadows of one of ░░░░░░░░ most terrible most awful ░░░░░░░░ polluters in the state ░░░░░░░░ Michigan You know the ░░░░░░░░ crisis doc is a ░░░░░░░░ result of unchecked corporate ░░░░░░░░ For decades we know ░░░░░░░░ for decades corporate polluters ░░░░░░░░ poisoned our neighborhoods putting ░░░░░░░░ over people s lives ░░░░░░░░ ve seen it And ░░░░░░░░ s just the latest ░░░░░░░░ a long line of ░░░░░░░░ and handouts for big ░░░░░░░░ executives to get richer ░░░░░░░░ the rest of us ░░░░░░░░ sicker You know a ░░░░░░░░ of our folks at ░░░░░░░░ state level say Well ░░░░░░░░ have a public hearing ░░░░░░░░ air permit Well do ░░░░░░░░ know what my folks ░░░░░░░░ residents call that state ░░░░░░░░ agency Permission to Pollute ░░░░░░░░ They are tired of ░░░░░░░░ And I know I ░░░░░░░░ tired of so many ░░░░░░░░ the corporate polluters raking ░░░░░░░░ the record profits while ░░░░░░░░ communities like mine in ░░░░░░░░ in Dearborn in Wayne ░░░░░░░░ community struggle to breathe ░░░░░░░░ air And in order ░░░░░░░░ pay for these tax ░░░░░░░░ for the billionaires and ░░░░░░░░ they want to rip ░░░░░░░░ care away from millions ░░░░░░░░ our families Shame on ░░░░░░░░ I just want you ░░░░░░░░ think about this They ░░░░░░░░ paying the residents the ░░░░░░░░ is paying the toll ░░░░░░░░ sicker while we subsidize ░░░░░░░░ fact that we have ░░░░░░░░ care in our country ░░░░░░░░ that many of our ░░░░░░░░ can t even afford ░░░░░░░░ take care of themselves ░░░░░░░░ I want you all ░░░░░░░░ know they re moving ░░░░░░░░ course with these massive ░░░░░░░░ to programs And you ░░░░░░░░ I talk about the ░░░░░░░░ billion in cuts in ░░░░░░░░ but behind all those ░░░░░░░░ is a person You ░░░░░░░░ it s not even ░░░░░░░░ organizations it s saving ░░░░░░░░ You know we re ░░░░░░░░ powerless I remind people ░░░░░░░░ come from the most ░░░░░░░░ blackest city in the ░░░░░░░░ city of Detroit And ░░░░░░░░ ll tell you I ░░░░░░░░ taught by the community ░░░░░░░░ it wasn t Congress ░░░░░░░░ got us the Civil ░░░░░░░░ Act They didn t ░░░░░░░░ up one day and ░░░░░░░░ Hmm I think equality ░░░░░░░░ fighting against housing is ░░░░░░░░ good idea It s ░░░░░░░░ made them We marched ░░░░░░░░ boycotted We created resistance ░░░░░░░░ the streets that made ░░░░░░░░ institution behind me that ░░░░░░░░ t ready for people ░░░░░░░░ us right we make ░░░░░░░░ ready and we make ░░░░░░░░ move And it s ░░░░░░░░ same thing with organizing ░░░░░░░░ You think somebody in ░░░░░░░░ White House woke up ░░░░░░░░ said Wow we need ░░░░░░░░ make sure people have ░░░░░░░░ dignity in the workplace ░░░░░░░░ s when people withheld ░░░░░░░░ labor So understand the ░░░░░░░░ that you all have ░░░░░░░░ I m so incredibly ░░░░░░░░ of you for being ░░░░░░░░ Know that I ll ░░░░░░░░ have your back I ░░░░░░░░ t sell out You ░░░░░░░░ I m standing with ░░░░░░░░ of my colleagues even ░░░░░░░░ the Democratic caucus as ░░░░░░░░ tried to move with ░░░░░░░░ even before this man ░░░░░░░░ our president I remember ░░░░░░░░ days and it s ░░░░░░░░ to understand why we ░░░░░░░░ seem to have money ░░░░░░░░ wars and bombs but ░░░░░░░░ don t seem to ░░░░░░░░ money for clean air ░░░░░░░░ clean water And it ░░░░░░░░ been courageous for many ░░░░░░░░ the folks in the ░░░░░░░░ and Water Don t ░░░░░░░░ Coalition You know they ░░░░░░░░ up here every single ░░░░░░░░ fighting to say Protect ░░░░░░░░ Great Lakes Think about ░░░░░░░░ They re begging the ░░░░░░░░ that s supposed to ░░░░░░░░ about people not those ░░░░░░░░ are gonna distract and ░░░░░░░░ corporate greed So I ░░░░░░░░ you to know I ░░░░░░░░ always have your back ░░░░░░░░ this is how we ░░░░░░░░ it through movements like ░░░░░░░░ And again I love ░░░░░░░░ when you re all ░░░░░░░░ in front of some ░░░░░░░░ my colleagues places in ░░░░░░░░ district sometimes coming to ░░░░░░░░ C is fine But ░░░░░░░░ to their backyard They ░░░░░░░░ t like that Let ░░░░░░░░ go to their backyard ░░░░░░░░ you so much.”
