RUSH TRANSCRIPT Dean And ░░░░░░░░ Ann look we know ░░░░░░░░ CPAC has been a ░░░░░░░░ for Trump for years ░░░░░░░░ Dave was just talking ░░░░░░░░ But if you zoom ░░░░░░░░ a little bit the ░░░░░░░░ American probably not poking ░░░░░░░░ head watching CPAC on ░░░░░░░░ Saturday afternoon they re ░░░░░░░░ out running errands doing ░░░░░░░░ things on their weekend ░░░░░░░░ question now becomes as ░░░░░░░░ methodically moves through this ░░░░░░░░ efforts to reshape the ░░░░░░░░ government and reshape America ░░░░░░░░ place in the world ░░░░░░░░ the average American who ░░░░░░░░ let s say some ░░░░░░░░ them who you know ░░░░░░░░ even voted for him ░░░░░░░░ aren t going to ░░░░░░░░ attention to every single ░░░░░░░░ How are they starting ░░░░░░░░ see this And is ░░░░░░░░ starting to trickle down ░░░░░░░░ their daily lives in ░░░░░░░░ way CALDWELL Yeah well ░░░░░░░░ s funny you mentioned ░░░░░░░░ And Dave would probably ░░░░░░░░ better than I would ░░░░░░░░ it used to be ░░░░░░░░ conservative conference mostly for ░░░░░░░░ people which it largely ░░░░░░░░ is But for libertarian ░░░░░░░░ Republicans Now the fact ░░░░░░░░ CPAC is so enthralled ░░░░░░░░ devoted to Donald Trump ░░░░░░░░ just another example of ░░░░░░░░ the Republican Party has ░░░░░░░░ over the years and ░░░░░░░░ in the name of ░░░░░░░░ Trump really But as ░░░░░░░░ as people beyond the ░░░░░░░░ group and the activist ░░░░░░░░ of the Republican Party ░░░░░░░░ CPAC which are those ░░░░░░░░ supporters um it s ░░░░░░░░ starting to have an ░░░░░░░░ We re seeing that ░░░░░░░░ some of the polling ░░░░░░░░ had a poll out ░░░░░░░░ this week where Donald ░░░░░░░░ s poll numbers have ░░░░░░░░ a little bit since ░░░░░░░░ came into office And ░░░░░░░░ um people think that ░░░░░░░░ is using too much ░░░░░░░░ his executive power for ░░░░░░░░ of these some of ░░░░░░░░ actions now um just ░░░░░░░░ anecdotal which I think ░░░░░░░░ fascinating is you know ░░░░░░░░ is not newsworthy but ░░░░░░░░ is an example of ░░░░░░░░ is happening across the ░░░░░░░░ A very close friend ░░░░░░░░ mine who lives in ░░░░░░░░ who is not political ░░░░░░░░ asked me just two ░░░░░░░░ ago what Doge was ░░░░░░░░ just yesterday texted me ░░░░░░░░ said that her entire ░░░░░░░░ club was talking about ░░░░░░░░ Musk about cuts to ░░░░░░░░ federal government and about ░░░░░░░░ you know the chainsaw ░░░░░░░░ Elon Musk and Donald ░░░░░░░░ is taking on the ░░░░░░░░ government So there s ░░░░░░░░ evidence and polling that ░░░░░░░░ is starting to have ░░░░░░░░ impact And then there ░░░░░░░░ also anecdotal evidence um ░░░░░░░░ well And you can ░░░░░░░░ see that uh the ░░░░░░░░ base democratic activists um ░░░░░░░░ absolutely enraged and are ░░░░░░░░ waking up after several ░░░░░░░░ of despondency and demanding ░░░░░░░░ their elected officials do ░░░░░░░░
