COATES What s your ░░░░░░░░ ROGIN Well I think ░░░░░░░░ one sense it s ░░░░░░░░ because we have a ░░░░░░░░ president we have a ░░░░░░░░ administration they ve got ░░░░░░░░ new foreign policy and ░░░░░░░░ re telling us what ░░░░░░░░ is It s different ░░░░░░░░ the Biden Administration s ░░░░░░░░ policy And it s ░░░░░░░░ lot of what Justin ░░░░░░░░ described very accurately They ░░░░░░░░ more about U S ░░░░░░░░ than Ukraine interests Okay ░░░░░░░░ at least that s ░░░░░░░░ They re saying what ░░░░░░░░ really believe The problem ░░░░░░░░ that that creates a ░░░░░░░░ of events that s ░░░░░░░░ going to unfold that ░░░░░░░░ have drastic and negative ░░░░░░░░ for both Ukraine and ░░░░░░░░ U S not to ░░░░░░░░ Europe And what I ░░░░░░░░ by that is that ░░░░░░░░ way that they re ░░░░░░░░ up this negotiation by ░░░░░░░░ with Putin first and ░░░░░░░░ second and trying to ░░░░░░░░ away Ukrainian territory and ░░░░░░░░ aspirations without talking to ░░░░░░░░ Ukrainians in my view ░░░░░░░░ destined to fail And ░░░░░░░░ s a big problem ░░░░░░░░ you know even though ░░░░░░░░ really wants a deal ░░░░░░░░ thinks this is going ░░░░░░░░ be a great deal ░░░░░░░░ that everything is going ░░░░░░░░ go fine it s ░░░░░░░░ obvious that the way ░░░░░░░░ he s setting it ░░░░░░░░ it s going to ░░░░░░░░ a deal that neither ░░░░░░░░ is going to support ░░░░░░░░ the Ukrainians are not ░░░░░░░░ to support So when ░░░░░░░░ get to the end ░░░░░░░░ that process that Trump ░░░░░░░░ started oh we re ░░░░░░░░ to give away all ░░░░░░░░ concessions first then we ░░░░░░░░ going to negotiate then ░░░░░░░░ re going to see ░░░░░░░░ other concessions Putin wants ░░░░░░░░ then we re going ░░░░░░░░ see what the Ukrainians ░░░░░░░░ well that s very ░░░░░░░░ chance of actually succeeding ░░░░░░░░ we ll be back ░░░░░░░░ we started by having ░░░░░░░░ away all these concessions ░░░░░░░░ s the risk of ░░░░░░░░ it this way which ░░░░░░░░ sort of the bass ░░░░░░░░ way of negotiating where ░░░░░░░░ give the concessions first ░░░░░░░░ then you start the ░░░░░░░░ and then you try ░░░░░░░░ convince the Ukrainians to ░░░░░░░░ up their territory which ░░░░░░░░ re not going to ░░░░░░░░ So it s kind ░░░░░░░░ a mess, actually.”
