Pressley Yes Reporter Congresswoman ░░░░░░░░ you so much for ░░░░░░░░ us today In the ░░░░░░░░ post mortems of the ░░░░░░░░ election there are establishment ░░░░░░░░ in your own party ░░░░░░░░ have said that race ░░░░░░░░ policies are bad politics ░░░░░░░░ we have seen a ░░░░░░░░ from elevating these issues ░░░░░░░░ is your message to ░░░░░░░░ Democrats who would say ░░░░░░░░ now is not the ░░░░░░░░ to be talking about ░░░░░░░░ for black Americans Pressley ░░░░░░░░ Dr King reminds us ░░░░░░░░ the time is always ░░░░░░░░ to do what is ░░░░░░░░ And Coretta Scott King ░░░░░░░░ us that freedom is ░░░░░░░░ really won you earn ░░░░░░░░ and win it in ░░░░░░░░ generation You know I ░░░░░░░░ very clear about the ░░░░░░░░ the fact that the ░░░░░░░░ to justice is not ░░░░░░░░ linear one And so ░░░░░░░░ re here to do ░░░░░░░░ work and I think ░░░░░░░░ s important while we ░░░░░░░░ actively blunting the coordinated ░░░░░░░░ unrelenting assaults from this ░░░░░░░░ administration that we are ░░░░░░░░ advancing an affirmative vision ░░░░░░░░ this country and for ░░░░░░░░ party I would also ░░░░░░░░ that I do think ░░░░░░░░ conscious policies are responsive ░░░░░░░░ I am asked about ░░░░░░░░ R 40 in community ░░░░░░░░ the Massachusetts 7th congressional ░░░░░░░░ by people of every ░░░░░░░░ of life every race ░░░░░░░░ ethnicity every gender gender ░░░░░░░░ and expression because they ░░░░░░░░ simply people of conscience ░░░░░░░░ ve always said that ░░░░░░░░ is my love language ░░░░░░░░ the reason I say ░░░░░░░░ is because the majority ░░░░░░░░ the harms that have ░░░░░░░░ caused particularly that have ░░░░░░░░ foisted onto black Americans ░░░░░░░░ legislated So if we ░░░░░░░░ legislate hurt and harm ░░░░░░░░ can legislate justice We ░░░░░░░░ legislate healing and we ░░░░░░░░ certainly long overdue And ░░░░░░░░ those that would say ░░░░░░░░ need to just get ░░░░░░░░ it that s interesting ░░░░░░░░ as a nation you ░░░░░░░░ benefiting right now from ░░░░░░░░ economy that was built ░░░░░░░░ the brutalized backs and ░░░░░░░░ indignities and the horrors ░░░░░░░░ chattel slavery in our ░░░░░░░░ ancestors.”
