Flashback: President Reagan 1981 Inaugural Address

“In this present crisis ░░░░░░░░ is not the solution ░░░░░░░░ our problem government is ░░░░░░░░ problem From time to ░░░░░░░░ we ve been tempted ░░░░░░░░ believe that society has ░░░░░░░░ too complex to be ░░░░░░░░ by self rule that ░░░░░░░░ by an elite group ░░░░░░░░ superior to government for ░░░░░░░░ and of the people ░░░░░░░░ if no one among ░░░░░░░░ is capable of governing ░░░░░░░░ then who among us ░░░░░░░░ the capacity to govern ░░░░░░░░ else All of us ░░░░░░░░ in and out of ░░░░░░░░ must bear the burden ░░░░░░░░ solutions we seek must ░░░░░░░░ equitable with no one ░░░░░░░░ singled out to pay ░░░░░░░░ higher price We hear ░░░░░░░░ of special interest groups ░░░░░░░░ our concern must be ░░░░░░░░ a special interest group ░░░░░░░░ has been too long ░░░░░░░░ It knows no sectional ░░░░░░░░ or ethnic and racial ░░░░░░░░ and it crosses political ░░░░░░░░ lines It is made ░░░░░░░░ of men and women ░░░░░░░░ raise our food patrol ░░░░░░░░ streets man our mines ░░░░░░░░ factories teach our children ░░░░░░░░ our homes and heal ░░░░░░░░ when we re sick ░░░░░░░░ industrialists shopkeepers clerks cabbies ░░░░░░░░ truck drivers They are ░░░░░░░░ short We the people ░░░░░░░░ breed called Americans Well ░░░░░░░░ administration s objective will ░░░░░░░░ a healthy vigorous growing ░░░░░░░░ that provides equal opportunities ░░░░░░░░ all Americans with no ░░░░░░░░ born of bigotry or ░░░░░░░░ Putting America back to ░░░░░░░░ means putting all Americans ░░░░░░░░ to work Ending inflation ░░░░░░░░ freeing all Americans from ░░░░░░░░ terror of runaway living ░░░░░░░░ All must share in ░░░░░░░░ productive work of this ░░░░░░░░ beginning and all must ░░░░░░░░ in the bounty of ░░░░░░░░ revived economy With the ░░░░░░░░ and fair play which ░░░░░░░░ the core of our ░░░░░░░░ and our strength we ░░░░░░░░ have a strong and ░░░░░░░░ America at peace with ░░░░░░░░ and the world So ░░░░░░░░ we begin let us ░░░░░░░░ inventory We are a ░░░░░░░░ that has a government ░░░░░░░░ the other way around ░░░░░░░░ this makes us special ░░░░░░░░ the nations of the ░░░░░░░░ Our government has no ░░░░░░░░ except that granted it ░░░░░░░░ the people It is ░░░░░░░░ to check and reverse ░░░░░░░░ growth of government which ░░░░░░░░ signs of having grown ░░░░░░░░ the consent of the ░░░░░░░░ It is my intention ░░░░░░░░ curb the size and ░░░░░░░░ of the Federal establishment ░░░░░░░░ to demand recognition of ░░░░░░░░ distinction between the powers ░░░░░░░░ to the Federal Government ░░░░░░░░ those reserved to the ░░░░░░░░ or to the people ░░░░░░░░ of us need to ░░░░░░░░ reminded that the Federal ░░░░░░░░ did not create the ░░░░░░░░ the States created the ░░░░░░░░ Government.”
