KARL In your talk ░░░░░░░░ local with first responders ░░░░░░░░ local officials what s ░░░░░░░░ understanding Why did some ░░░░░░░░ those or so many ░░░░░░░░ those fire hydrants simply ░░░░░░░░ dry Was there something ░░░░░░░░ do with that 117 ░░░░░░░░ gallon reservoir in the ░░░░░░░░ that was out of ░░░░░░░░ What s your understanding ░░░░░░░░ s your initial read ░░░░░░░░ this Schiff Well my ░░░░░░░░ take and I certainly ░░░░░░░░ a full review of ░░░░░░░░ so that I can ░░░░░░░░ a more complete understanding ░░░░░░░░ the matter but my ░░░░░░░░ understanding is the reservoirs ░░░░░░░░ the Palisades were drawing ░░░░░░░░ these 3 million gallon ░░░░░░░░ were full at the ░░░░░░░░ of these fires But ░░░░░░░░ re intended frankly they ░░░░░░░░ the capacity to put ░░░░░░░░ homes that maybe house ░░░░░░░░ houses not if the ░░░░░░░░ town is up in ░░░░░░░░ And more particularly not ░░░░░░░░ the winds are so ░░░░░░░░ that aircraft can t ░░░░░░░░ And this was the ░░░░░░░░ in the very beginning ░░░░░░░░ winds were hurricane force ░░░░░░░░ to 100 miles an ░░░░░░░░ winds You can t ░░░░░░░░ in that and you ░░░░░░░░ on being able to ░░░░░░░░ water drops to put ░░░░░░░░ those kind of flames ░░░░░░░░ have to think there ░░░░░░░░ probably hundreds of towns ░░░░░░░░ California thousands and thousands ░░░░░░░░ the country that are ░░░░░░░░ equally the same position ░░░░░░░░ if they had 100 ░░░░░░░░ an hour winds and ░░░░░░░░ lot of dry fuel ░░░░░░░░ wouldn t have any ░░░░░░░░ water than this community ░░░░░░░░ We also had the ░░░░░░░░ that pipes were melting ░░░░░░░░ so you had houses ░░░░░░░░ down the pipes in ░░░░░░░░ houses melting water coming ░░░░░░░░ of those pipes reducing ░░░░░░░░ I think this was ░░░░░░░░ issue in the Altadena ░░░░░░░░ And so we re ░░░░░░░░ to have to get ░░░░░░░░ the bottom of this ░░░░░░░░ frankly a lot of ░░░░░░░░ things.”
