He attended high ░░░░░░░░ there That high school ░░░░░░░░ re told now burned ░░░░░░░░ the ground Deroy thanks ░░░░░░░░ joining us once again ░░░░░░░░ can you tell us ░░░░░░░░ how you re feeling ░░░░░░░░ now knowing that the ░░░░░░░░ school you attended is ░░░░░░░░ and watching you know ░░░░░░░░ place you grew up ░░░░░░░░ flames Watch this you ░░░░░░░░ to start off as ░░░░░░░░ fire in the daytime ░░░░░░░░ expand into about 3000 ░░░░░░░░ And then of course ░░░░░░░░ fires popping up elsewhere ░░░░░░░░ altadena and then pasadena ░░░░░░░░ another one in sylmar ░░░░░░░░ there s another fire ░░░░░░░░ on sherman way up ░░░░░░░░ north Hollywood So this ░░░░░░░░ seems to be getting ░░░░░░░░ and worse you know ░░░░░░░░ the minute Now I ░░░░░░░░ have some question about ░░░░░░░░ s a debate or ░░░░░░░░ of clarity I guess ░░░░░░░░ of like the fog ░░░░░░░░ war almost about the ░░░░░░░░ of palisades high school ░░░░░░░░ I which as you ░░░░░░░░ I attended Was it ░░░░░░░░ damaged Completely damaged or ░░░░░░░░ And I got in ░░░░░░░░ with the school I ░░░░░░░░ them on their website ░░░░░░░░ I got a very ░░░░░░░░ and very informative response ░░░░░░░░ from pam mcgee who ░░░░░░░░ the executive director and ░░░░░░░░ of palisades charter high ░░░░░░░░ And she just wrote ░░░░░░░░ this about an hour ░░░░░░░░ Quote We do not ░░░░░░░░ the extent of the ░░░░░░░░ to pch pitches yet ░░░░░░░░ has not burned to ░░░░░░░░ ground and fire crews ░░░░░░░░ been actively fighting back ░░░░░░░░ flames repeat not burned ░░░░░░░░ the ground Thankfully there ░░░░░░░░ lots of heroes in ░░░░░░░░ awful moment We won ░░░░░░░░ know the full damage ░░░░░░░░ tomorrow So this is ░░░░░░░░ statement from about about ░░░░░░░░ 00 in the morning ░░░░░░░░ time 11 00 Pacific ░░░░░░░░ from pam not burned to the ░░░░░░░░ So that s good ░░░░░░░░ Or at least partially ░░░░░░░░ news We ll see ░░░░░░░░ what the condition is ░░░░░░░░ but we re going ░░░░░░░░ cross our fingers And ░░░░░░░░ course that s just ░░░░░░░░ high school That community ░░░░░░░░ obviously devastated and distressed ░░░░░░░░ is so much of ░░░░░░░░ California right now and ░░░░░░░░ little bit of positive ░░░░░░░░ in the middle of ░░░░░░░░ these folks who are ░░░░░░░░ right now had to ░░░░░░░░ their homes not knowing ░░░░░░░░ they re going to ░░░░░░░░ anything to come back ░░░░░░░░ To any friends who ░░░░░░░░ been able to describe ░░░░░░░░ they ve gone through ░░░░░░░░ Some of my friends ░░░░░░░░ basically have said that ░░░░░░░░ s much worse in ░░░░░░░░ than what you see ░░░░░░░░ TV and that this ░░░░░░░░ been going on since ░░░░░░░░ since about 10 11 ░░░░░░░░ this morning Some friends ░░░░░░░░ sent me pictures they ░░░░░░░░ taken from down in ░░░░░░░░ beach looking north towards ░░░░░░░░ palisades From further out ░░░░░░░░ the beach looking inland ░░░░░░░░ you see this this ░░░░░░░░ just enormous waves of ░░░░░░░░ going from from on ░░░░░░░░ off over into the ░░░░░░░░ And I ve contacted ░░░░░░░░ to reach a couple ░░░░░░░░ people who still live ░░░░░░░░ the palisades Many of ░░░░░░░░ are in the area ░░░░░░░░ not in the palisades ░░░░░░░░ The two actually live ░░░░░░░░ the palisades I ve ░░░░░░░░ heard anything from them ░░░░░░░░ I m keeping my ░░░░░░░░ crossed hoping that they ░░░░░░░░ be okay And my ░░░░░░░░ friend Mike gutterman who ░░░░░░░░ ve known since the ░░░░░░░░ day of junior high ░░░░░░░░ we go back 48 ░░░░░░░░ now He emailed me ░░░░░░░░ said we ve had ░░░░░░░░ of this devastation but ░░░░░░░░ strong winds don t ░░░░░░░░ until 10 P M ░░░░░░░░ time which is a ░░░░░░░░ of hours ago It ░░░░░░░░ too windy for aircraft ░░░░░░░░ drop water and firemen ░░░░░░░░ t fight it with ░░░░░░░░ as it is futile ░░░░░░░░ flames are so big ░░░░░░░░ putting a little bit ░░░░░░░░ wet stuff on the ░░░░░░░░ stuff given the size ░░░░░░░░ the fire area really ░░░░░░░░ this point is almost ░░░░░░░░ productive And you ve ░░░░░░░░ heard the trouble about ░░░░░░░░ water pressure being so ░░░░░░░░ that the firemen are ░░░░░░░░ firefighters not getting quite ░░░░░░░░ much water out of ░░░░░░░░ fire hydrants as they ░░░░░░░░ to make any kind ░░░░░░░░ a dent into this ░░░░░░░░ of thing So what ░░░░░░░░ really need is a ░░░░░░░░ of for the winds ░░░░░░░░ drop off That s ░░░░░░░░ the main thing that ░░░░░░░░ help help limit this ░░░░░░░░ disaster Unfortunately the worst ░░░░░░░░ expected to
