Mollie Hemingway: ‘Both Parties Are Horrifically Bad Spenders,’ but Dems ‘Have More to Gain’ from Increasing Debt Limit

RUSH TRANSCRIPT EDSON This ░░░░░░░░ Mollie we were discussing ░░░░░░░░ Axios has come out ░░░░░░░░ a report last few ░░░░░░░░ that the House minority ░░░░░░░░ Hakeem Jeffries has privately ░░░░░░░░ embracing the wholesale elimination ░░░░░░░░ the debt limit Debt ░░░░░░░░ was supposed to be ░░░░░░░░ this for a couple ░░░░░░░░ years It s not ░░░░░░░░ What are the debt ░░░░░░░░ politics like HEMINGWAY We ░░░░░░░░ had people in both ░░░░░░░░ actually talk about just ░░░░░░░░ rid of this because ░░░░░░░░ s such an ordeal ░░░░░░░░ get it raised The ░░░░░░░░ point though is that ░░░░░░░░ need to be cutting ░░░░░░░░ spending and doing it ░░░░░░░░ very serious and strategic ░░░░░░░░ And that s not ░░░░░░░░ at all I can ░░░░░░░░ why a Democrat like ░░░░░░░░ Jeffries would want to ░░░░░░░░ it because generally speaking ░░░░░░░░ though both parties are ░░░░░░░░ bad spenders Democrats have ░░░░░░░░ to gain from increasing ░░░░░░░░ I just want to ░░░░░░░░ back on something that ░░░░░░░░ had said in the ░░░░░░░░ segment about how there ░░░░░░░░ a deal between Democrats ░░░░░░░░ Mike Johnson And that ░░░░░░░░ true there was a ░░░░░░░░ between those people Mike ░░░░░░░░ is very good at ░░░░░░░░ forth bills that get ░░░░░░░░ Democrats to vote for ░░░░░░░░ than Republicans as we ░░░░░░░░ today What happened though ░░░░░░░░ that once the American ░░░░░░░░ saw what was in ░░░░░░░░ bill they were horrified ░░░░░░░░ all the pork that ░░░░░░░░ in there And they ░░░░░░░░ had 27 hours or ░░░░░░░░ to even look at ░░░░░░░░ And I think people ░░░░░░░░ saying we want much ░░░░░░░░ transparency with what is ░░░░░░░░ in Washington And we ░░░░░░░░ sick of the way ░░░░░░░░ these bills are just ░░░░░░░░ up with so much ░░░░░░░░ without enough input and ░░░░░░░░ were even members of ░░░░░░░░ who were upset about ░░░░░░░░ because they also have ░░░░░░░░ shut off the negotiation ░░░░░░░░
