We want to talk ░░░░░░░░ our friend Dy murck ░░░░░░░░ how he is uh ░░░░░░░░ about the cabinet assembling ░░░░░░░░ our president elect Donald ░░░░░░░░ nationally syndicated columnist Fox ░░░░░░░░ contributor Joy Murdoch with ░░░░░░░░ once again welcome back ░░░░░░░░ the show droy it ░░░░░░░░ good to have you ░░░░░░░░ great to be with ░░░░░░░░ again Annie so as ░░░░░░░░ cabinet picked are coming ░░░░░░░░ any that you are ░░░░░░░░ excited about any that ░░░░░░░░ re raising your eyebrows ░░░░░░░░ uh very good question ░░░░░░░░ d say just overall ░░░░░░░░ the speed at which ░░░░░░░░ President elect Trump is ░░░░░░░░ in his team is ░░░░░░░░ I mean he s ░░░░░░░░ not wasted any time ░░░░░░░░ all uh you know ░░░░░░░░ ve got uh I ░░░░░░░░ rumored Secretary of State ░░░░░░░░ Rubio who s very ░░░░░░░░ capable as the uh ░░░░░░░░ think ranking member on ░░░░░░░░ Senate intelligence committee somebody ░░░░░░░░ spent a lot of ░░░░░░░░ thinking and and speaking ░░░░░░░░ probably writing about foreign ░░░░░░░░ uh my colleague U ░░░░░░░░ Pete Heth at Fox ░░░░░░░░ I was out last ░░░░░░░░ I came home and ░░░░░░░░ saw something online about ░░░░░░░░ Pete heg Secretary of ░░░░░░░░ I okay somebody s ░░░░░░░░ or you know some ░░░░░░░░ crazy rumor I looked ░░░░░░░░ actually was nominated by ░░░░░░░░ president I was really ░░░░░░░░ surprising surprise to everybody ░░░░░░░░ uh Trump is picking ░░░░░░░░ interesting people very unconventional ░░░░░░░░ people like Elon Musk ░░░░░░░░ vivec ramas Swami to ░░░░░░░░ this um uh Department ░░░░░░░░ government efficiency to go ░░░░░░░░ the entire budget the ░░░░░░░░ bureaucracy as uh apparently ░░░░░░░░ Musk just said on ░░░░░░░░ X he said threat ░░░░░░░░ democracy no threat to ░░░░░░░░ that was very good ░░░░░░░░ um this is all ░░░░░░░░ so my only concerns ░░░░░░░░ I m looking right ░░░░░░░░ we only have 216 ░░░░░░░░ Republican seats in the ░░░░░░░░ us house and President ░░░░░░░░ wants to remove Lee ░░░░░░░░ and put her in ░░░░░░░░ as UN Ambassador and ░░░░░░░░ Waltz of uh Florida ░░░░░░░░ Congress Republican congressman from ░░░░░░░░ put him in as ░░░░░░░░ National Security adviser I ░░░░░░░░ they re both very ░░░░░░░░ I think they ll ░░░░░░░░ terrific in those positions ░░░░░░░░ it s not like ░░░░░░░░ ve got a nice ░░░░░░░░ fat majority with a ░░░░░░░░ of House Seats to ░░░░░░░░ I mean it s ░░░░░░░░ one week since it ░░░░░░░░ been eight days since ░░░░░░░░ election we re still ░░░░░░░░ at 218 so you ░░░░░░░░ I hope it gets ░░░░░░░░ point where you know ░░░░░░░░ can handle having uh ░░░░░░░░ people not there as ░░░░░░░░ know very difficult close ░░░░░░░░ controversial uh uh votes ░░░░░░░░ up uh or maybe ░░░░░░░░ people have to start ░░░░░░░░ jobs March or April ░░░░░░░░ something once we ve ░░░░░░░░ special elections and so ░░░░░░░░ so uh that s ░░░░░░░░ s my only big ░░░░░░░░ is just uh picking ░░░░░░░░ out of the house ░░░░░░░░ there s not even ░░░░░░░░ majority yet yeah it ░░░░░░░░ is it is a ░░░░░░░░ it s a little ░░░░░░░░ wracking to watch as ░░░░░░░░ numbers are creeping closer ░░░░░░░░ 218 we haven t ░░░░░░░░ it uh yet but ░░░░░░░░ course if you have ░░░░░░░░ 220 221 at the ░░░░░░░░ of the day you ░░░░░░░░ very very if almost ░░░░░░░░ room for error somebody ░░░░░░░░ sick or has a ░░░░░░░░ a something that they ░░░░░░░░ to attend to it ░░░░░░░░ a very DIY situation ░░░░░░░░ uh the department of ░░░░░░░░ efficiency the Elon Musk ░░░░░░░░ ramaswami pair up to ░░░░░░░░ to get our government ░░░░░░░░ work more for the ░░░░░░░░ people to be more ░░░░░░░░ what do you think ░░░░░░░░ this particular um establishment ░░░░░░░░ Donald Trump s Vision ░░░░░░░░ into his next presidency ░░░░░░░░ think it s fantastic ░░░░░░░░ uh I don t ░░░░░░░░ if it will be ░░░░░░░░ actual cabinet department or ░░░░░░░░ it will really be ░░░░░░░░ of like a you ░░░░░░░░ super commission or an ░░░░░░░░ in the White House ░░░░░░░░ m not sure if ░░░░░░░░ s actual legal structure ░░░░░░░░ in terms of what ░░░░░░░░ intend to do you ░░░░░░░░ got Vic ramaswami who ░░░░░░░░ a very successful uh ░░░░░░░░ and I think um ░░░░░░░░ banker type or hedge ░░░░░░░░ person who s Big ░░░░░░░░ the markets and very ░░░░░░░░ very sharp and very ░░░░░░░░ eloquent and you ve ░░░░░░░░ Elon Musk who s ░░░░░░░░ uh the richest man ░░░░░░░░ earth and also uh ░░░░░░░░ the Thomas Edison of ░░░░░░░░ era uh going both ░░░░░░░░ them going through all ░░░░░░░░ the different uh Cabinet ░░░░░░░░ and agencies and boards ░░░░░░░░ commissions and so on ░░░░░░░░ the federal government has ░░░░░░░░ finding out things that ░░░░░░░░ re doing that they ░░░░░░░░ t be doing they ░░░░░░░░ either there s no ░░░░░░░░ Constitution um uh mandate ░░░░░░░░ them to do these ░░░░░░░░ of things uh many ░░░░░░░░ there may be something ░░░░░░░░ doing but rather than ░░░░░░░░ you know one or ░░░░░░░░ um job training programs ░░░░░░░░ might have a dozen ░░░░░░░░ know can t we ░░░░░░░░ collapse them into one ░░░░░░░░ collapse them into two ░░░░░░░░ other areas where that ░░░░░░░░ uh uh private sector ░░░░░░░░ do a better job ░░░░░░░░ state and local governments ░░░░░░░░ do a better job ░░░░░░░░ have no doubt these ░░░░░░░░ are going to be ░░░░░░░░ to go through and ░░░░░░░░ all sorts of things ░░░░░░░░ the government that that ░░░░░░░░ Sam should not be ░░░░░░░░ and then it ll ░░░░░░░░ up to Trump and ░░░░░░░░ either to pass legislation ░░░░░░░░ pair things down or ░░░░░░░░ simply you know I ░░░░░░░░ the very easy way ░░░░░░░░ do it is just ░░░░░░░░ t put any money ░░░░░░░░ the budget for it ░░░░░░░░ know you can keep ░░░░░░░░ uh XYZ commission just ░░░░░░░░ t provide any money ░░░░░░░░ they can keep their ░░░░░░░░ on the door but ░░░░░░░░ won t have any ░░░░░░░░ to do anything uh ░░░░░░░░ in any activity and ░░░░░░░░ people there either can ░░░░░░░░ given Severance offers and ░░░░░░░░ you know here s ░░░░░░░░ check for 100 000 ░░░░░░░░ good luck you know ░░░░░░░░ to grad school buy ░░░░░░░░ a vacation home whatever ░░░░░░░░ is in some cases ░░░░░░░░ may not want to ░░░░░░░░ uh in which case ░░░░░░░░ you know I think ░░░░░░░░ ll have a lot ░░░░░░░░ people that Department of ░░░░░░░░ and the FBI for ░░░░░░░░ need to be cleaned ░░░░░░░░ the people who ve ░░░░░░░░ um engaging the Russia ░░░░░░░░ and so on uh ░░░░░░░░ they won t leave ░░░░░░░░ you just move them ░░░░░░░░ the uh FBI office ░░░░░░░░ Anchorage Alaska yeah and ░░░░░░░░ yeah if they like ░░░░░░░░ up there uh they ░░░░░░░░ stay there and you ░░░░░░░░ be out of the ░░░░░░░░ and if they don ░░░░░░░░ like it they can ░░░░░░░░ and go get jobs ░░░░░░░░ law firms or go ░░░░░░░░ uh local prosecutors or ░░░░░░░░ else it is Jory ░░░░░░░░ you feel creative ways ░░░░░░░░ do this yeah do ░░░░░░░░ feel like the idea ░░░░░░░░ spreading out our government ░░░░░░░░ so that they re ░░░░░░░░ all located right there ░░░░░░░░ the Beltway in Washington ░░░░░░░░ C does that offer ░░░░░░░░ pretty distinct Advantage at ░░░░░░░░ able to efficiently get ░░░░░░░░ job done but maybe ░░░░░░░░ it down a little ░░░░░░░░ I agree with that ░░░░░░░░ you know if the ░░░░░░░░ don t see why ░░░░░░░░ Department of Agriculture is ░░░░░░░░ the mid in the ░░░░░░░░ of a completely urban ░░░░░░░░ with no Farms so ░░░░░░░░ the Department of Agriculture ░░░░░░░░ be oh I don ░░░░░░░░ know maybe St LS ░░░░░░░░ we ll take it ░░░░░░░░ got a lot of ░░░░░░░░ family has a farm ░░░░░░░░ can take it right ░░░░░░░░ here lot a lot ░░░░░░░░ farms within a you ░░░░░░░░ 20 minute or half ░░░░░░░░ one hour drive of ░░░░░░░░ you are much more ░░░░░░░░ in D C uh ░░░░░░░░ s one thought you ░░░░░░░░ maybe the dep Department ░░░░░░░░ Commerce should be uh ░░░░░░░░ some more Industrial Area ░░░░░░░░ don t know maybe ░░░░░░░░ in industrial Pennsylvania perhaps ░░░░░░░░ maybe the uh uh ░░░░░░░░ it s worth even ░░░░░░░░ and that s very ░░░░░░░░ but the uh National ░░░░░░░░ for the Arts maybe ░░░░░░░░ to be out in ░░░░░░░░ where a lot of ░░░░░░░░ Arts industry is uh ░░░░░░░░ would make a lot ░░░░░░░░ sense and you know ░░░░░░░░ ll be closer to ░░░░░░░░ the actual areas that ░░░░░░░░ either regulate or subsidize ░░░░░░░░ overse see and people ░░░░░░░░ those areas can go ░░░░░░░░ and say look you ░░░░░░░░ uh rather than having ░░░░░░░░ jump on a plane ░░░░░░░░ go talk to somebody ░░░░░░░░ Department of Agriculture you ░░░░░░░░ in your car or ░░░░░░░░ in your truck and ░░░░░░░░ talk to some bureaucrat ░░░░░░░░ whatever it is going ░░░░░░░░ your farm that needs ░░░░░░░░ I think it d ░░░░░░░░ very sensible and I ░░░░░░░░ you get people probably ░░░░░░░░ do that who will ░░░░░░░░ much more actually dedicated ░░░░░░░░ Mission of whatever those ░░░░░░░░ do rather than just ░░░░░░░░ okay I live in ░░░░░░░░ know live in Georgetown ░░░░░░░░ Arlington Virginia and some ░░░░░░░░ know very comfortable place ░░░░░░░░ you know drive 10 ░░░░░░░░ minutes to your office ░░░░░░░░ Department of Agriculture and ░░░░░░░░ spend all all day ░░░░░░░░ telling people what to ░░░░░░░░ yeah I I think ░░░░░░░░ it s it s ░░░░░░░░ Innovative idea it s ░░░░░░░░ different way of doing ░░░░░░░░ same thing and and ░░░░░░░░ working to make it ░░░░░░░░ efficient I think that ░░░░░░░░ type of creative thinking ░░░░░░░░ is really important to ░░░░░░░░ able to achieve the ░░░░░░░░ ahead before we let ░░░░░░░░ go we re speaking ░░░░░░░░ Dory Murdoch right now ░░░░░░░░ I m curious what ░░░░░░░░ think about Congress s ░░░░░░░░ razor thin majority likely ░░░░░░░░ Republicans in the house ░░░░░░░░ we have a Senate ░░░░░░░░ leader in Senator John ░░░░░░░░ uh do you feel ░░░░░░░░ though Donald Trump s ░░░░░░░░ in his reelection being ░░░░░░░░ to sweep all those ░░░░░░░░ states do you feel ░░░░░░░░ though the Republican Party ░░░░░░░░ a whole in D ░░░░░░░░ is going to be ░░░░░░░░ to get done the ░░░░░░░░ that Donald Trump was ░░░░░░░░ there to get or ░░░░░░░░ quickly will this turn ░░░░░░░░ that s a good ░░░░░░░░ I think certainly early ░░░░░░░░ given Trump s tremendous ░░░░░░░░ there s no question ░░░░░░░░ this man won not ░░░░░░░░ the Electoral College but ░░░░░░░░ popular vote and not ░░░░░░░░ the popular vote but ░░░░░░░░ majority of the vote ░░░░░░░░ know people have won ░░░░░░░░ popular vote but it ░░░░░░░░ you 47 40 he ░░░░░░░░ 50 3 or so ░░░░░░░░ so won a majority ░░░░░░░░ the votes excuse me ░░░░░░░░ seven swing States so ░░░░░░░░ no question that the ░░░░░░░░ public voted for his ░░░░░░░░ and voted to reject ░░░░░░░░ bidenisms and I think ░░░░░░░░ would be very smart ░░░░░░░░ keep that in mind ░░░░░░░░ give the American people ░░░░░░░░ they want which is ░░░░░░░░ the uh make America ░░░░░░░░ again agenda uh now ░░░░░░░░ at some point people ░░░░░░░░ when you start getting ░░░░░░░░ to the uh midterms ░░░░░░░░ start U you know ░░░░░░░░ off and doing their ░░░░░░░░ thing but certainly I ░░░░░░░░ at the beginning he ░░░░░░░░ got he s coming ░░░░░░░░ with such a strong ░░░░░░░░ of steam and and ░░░░░░░░ a singular uh unique ░░░░░░░░ unusual personality in and ░░░░░░░░ himself and and this ░░░░░░░░ he s showing even ░░░░░░░░ you know two days ░░░░░░░░ the uh appointment was ░░░░░░░░ I think he named ░░░░░░░░ WS the uh the ░░░░░░░░ Chief of Staff first ░░░░░░░░ uh Chief of Staff ░░░░░░░░ the White House by ░░░░░░░░ way ever um so ░░░░░░░░ think given all that ░░░░░░░░ think certainly the the ░░░░░░░░ year year and a ░░░░░░░░ I think uh GOP ░░░░░░░░ stay for the most ░░░░░░░░ United after that you ░░░░░░░░ people might start get ░░░░░░░░ itchy and going to ░░░░░░░░ their own thing for ░░░░░░░░ most part but it ░░░░░░░░ is important and I ░░░░░░░░ wish we had uh ░░░░░░░░ know 225 230 seats ░░░░░░░░ than maybe you know ░░░░░░░░ 220 or whatever this ░░░░░░░░ wherever this ends up ░░░░░░░░ really wish that the ░░░░░░░░ National Republican Congressional committee ░░░░░░░░ done a better job ░░░░░░░░ the uh house races ░░░░░░░░ I heard from someone ░░░░░░░░ uh Kevin McCarthy raised ░░░░░░░░ 400 million uh for ░░░░░░░░ purpose when he was ░░░░░░░░ and Mike Johnson s ░░░░░░░░ about 60 much much ░░░░░░░░ lower so I checked ░░░░░░░░ numbers for sure but ░░░░░░░░ s someone something I ░░░░░░░░ told by a a ░░░░░░░░ who by the way ░░░░░░░░ very little money and ░░░░░░░░ a a very competitive ░░░░░░░░ seat and unfortunately he ░░░░░░░░ he came about 2 ░░░░░░░░ 2 000 votes short ░░░░░░░░ if he just gotten ░░░░░░░░ 100 000 we d ░░░░░░░░ have one more seat ░░░░░░░░ the GP caucus conference ░░░░░░░░ ma a massively influential ░░░░░░░░ seat swing with every ░░░░░░░░ race that gets called ░░░░░░░░ at the end yeah ░░░░░░░░ know I think the ░░░░░░░░ McCarthy highlight is such ░░░░░░░░ important one too because ░░░░░░░░ was what he was ░░░░░░░░ for and and he ░░░░░░░░ did take the Republican ░░░░░░░░ from a minority into ░░░░░░░░ the only thing that ░░░░░░░░ in 2022 really for ░░░░░░░░ was that house uh ░░░░░░░░ and then they bounced ░░░░░░░░ right away I I ░░░░░░░░ really hope that we ░░░░░░░░ t get into that ░░░░░░░░ mess quickly I hope ░░░░░░░░ avoid that nonsense and ░░░░░░░░ funny thing about I ░░░░░░░░ always kind of wondered ░░░░░░░░ always lately wondered are ░░░░░░░░ better off with a ░░░░░░░░ tough uh combative effective ░░░░░░░░ or somebody who s ░░░░░░░░ solid as a conservative ░░░░░░░░ is very weak and ░░░░░░░░ a good leader and ░░░░░░░░ think that McCarthy versus ░░░░░░░░ gives us an illustration ░░░░░░░░ that you know I ░░░░░░░░ in terms of his ░░░░░░░░ principles Johnson s probably ░░░░░░░░ of a real conservative ░░░░░░░░ McCarthy but uh just ░░░░░░░░ inability to raise money ░░░░░░░░ less of a combative ░░░░░░░░ less pugnacious and I ░░░░░░░░ we find ourselves in ░░░░░░░░ weaker position with him ░░░░░░░░ with McCarthy who might ░░░░░░░░ necessarily be fully on ░░░░░░░░ with the entire agenda ░░░░░░░░ when he s got ░░░░░░░░ marching orders and he ░░░░░░░░ what s got to ░░░░░░░░ done he s much ░░░░░░░░ at keeping the troops ░░░░░░░░ and uh being able ░░░░░░░░ get a immedia strategy ░░░░░░░░ get a message out ░░░░░░░░ you know pound it ░░░░░░░░ it into a victory ░░░░░░░░ as opposed to Johnson ░░░░░░░░ seems like you know ░░░░░░░░ s great you in ░░░░░░░░ of principle and philosophy ░░░░░░░░ ideology but just not ░░░░░░░░ strong and and you ░░░░░░░░ very folds under the ░░░░░░░░ bit of pressure so ░░░░░░░░ it ll be interesting ░░░░░░░░ see how
