HUNT I do want ░░░░░░░░ start with the news ░░░░░░░░ of Mar a Lago ░░░░░░░░ and that was Donald ░░░░░░░░ s announcement that he ░░░░░░░░ to nominate Kash Patel ░░░░░░░░ be his FBI director ░░░░░░░░ you have any reservations ░░░░░░░░ Kash Patel serving in ░░░░░░░░ role LAWLER No Donald ░░░░░░░░ campaigned on reforming the ░░░░░░░░ and the Department of ░░░░░░░░ so I don t ░░░░░░░░ why any of this ░░░░░░░░ frankly surprising to people ░░░░░░░░ Trump has nominated in ░░░░░░░░ Patel someone who served ░░░░░░░░ chief of staff at ░░░░░░░░ Department of Defense someone ░░░░░░░░ served as deputy director ░░░░░░░░ the NSI someone who ░░░░░░░░ as a senior staffer ░░░░░░░░ the House Intelligence Committee ░░░░░░░░ was a federal prosecutor ░░░░░░░░ the Obama Administration and ░░░░░░░░ certainly has requisite experience ░░░░░░░░ this role I think ░░░░░░░░ s no question President ░░░░░░░░ made very clear that ░░░░░░░░ Department of Justice and ░░░░░░░░ FBI would be reformed ░░░░░░░░ he was elected to ░░░░░░░░ second term And I ░░░░░░░░ obviously with the selection ░░░░░░░░ Pam Bondi and Kash ░░░░░░░░ that s exactly what ░░░░░░░░ s going to do ░░░░░░░░ Do you have any ░░░░░░░░ about Patel potentially going ░░░░░░░░ President Elect Trump s ░░░░░░░░ enemies Patel has a ░░░░░░░░ of names in his ░░░░░░░░ LAWLER Look I don ░░░░░░░░ think the American people ░░░░░░░░ interested in a revenge ░░░░░░░░ But obviously if people ░░░░░░░░ wrong in their official ░░░░░░░░ then that s something ░░░░░░░░ should be concerned about ░░░░░░░░ if they didn t ░░░░░░░░ anything wrong if they ░░░░░░░░ the law then there ░░░░░░░░ t be a problem ░░░░░░░░ objective here obviously is ░░░░░░░░ reform the Department of ░░░░░░░░ and the FBI and ░░░░░░░░ it back to its ░░░░░░░░ of going after criminals ░░░░░░░░ up in New York ░░░░░░░░ FBI in the aftermath ░░░░░░░░ 9 11 was focused ░░░░░░░░ going after terrorism And ░░░░░░░░ in recent years we ░░░░░░░░ seen the FBI and ░░░░░░░░ Department of Justice weaponize ░░░░░░░░ a way that it ░░░░░░░░ become completely political That ░░░░░░░░ not good for the ░░░░░░░░ people It s not ░░░░░░░░ for our system of ░░░░░░░░ The lack of confidence ░░░░░░░░ Americans have in the ░░░░░░░░ of Justice and the ░░░░░░░░ is terrible And so ░░░░░░░░ we want a system ░░░░░░░░ is reformed that works ░░░░░░░░ the American people and ░░░░░░░░ prosecutes criminals And that ░░░░░░░░ be the objective and ░░░░░░░░ goal of every American ░░░░░░░░ obviously that s what ░░░░░░░░ hope is as the ░░░░░░░░ of Justice moves forward ░░░░░░░░ Pam Bondi and the ░░░░░░░░ under Kash Patel.”
