BASH I do want ░░░░░░░░ ask about something that ░░░░░░░░ going on now in ░░░░░░░░ Texas School Board which ░░░░░░░░ this week to incentivize ░░░░░░░░ schools to use an ░░░░░░░░ curriculum that incorporates Bible ░░░░░░░░ It began earlier this ░░░░░░░░ in your home state ░░░░░░░░ Oklahoma which required schools ░░░░░░░░ have Bible and classes ░░░░░░░░ include the 10 Commandments ░░░░░░░░ lessons You are a ░░░░░░░░ You are a public ░░░░░░░░ Both of these issues ░░░░░░░░ very near and dear ░░░░░░░░ your heart Do you ░░░░░░░░ it s appropriate to ░░░░░░░░ religion into public education ░░░░░░░░ that LANKFORD Well let ░░░░░░░░ tell you a couple ░░░░░░░░ things that we are ░░░░░░░░ in Oklahoma In Oklahoma ░░░░░░░░ are allowing students to ░░░░░░░░ able to do off ░░░░░░░░ religious education If they ░░░░░░░░ to have actual religious ░░░░░░░░ they can do that ░░░░░░░░ campus It s an ░░░░░░░░ like choir or band ░░░░░░░░ any other number of ░░░░░░░░ that are out there ░░░░░░░░ They can get a ░░░░░░░░ to be able to ░░░░░░░░ also off campus religious ░░░░░░░░ So any conversation about ░░░░░░░░ Bible shouldn t be ░░░░░░░░ religious tone I m ░░░░░░░░ know that my Christian ░░░░░░░░ has impacted my life ░░░░░░░░ and I am the ░░░░░░░░ teacher to my children ░░░░░░░░ my faith That shouldn ░░░░░░░░ be a public schoolteacher ░░░░░░░░ do that But saying ░░░░░░░░ the Bible is also ░░░░░░░░ part of Western civilization ░░░░░░░░ part of our founding ░░░░░░░░ of our Founders were ░░░░░░░░ passionate about Scripture and ░░░░░░░░ the Bible and studied ░░░░░░░░ So as a historical ░░░░░░░░ as a cultural document ░░░░░░░░ absolutely should be taught ░░░░░░░░ schools As a religious ░░░░░░░░ that s up to ░░░░░░░░ and to faith leaders ░░░░░░░░ campus BASH Fascinating That ░░░░░░░░ a really interesting way ░░░░░░░░ explain it as always ░░░░░░░░ those issues and all ░░░░░░░░ them Senator James Lankford ░░░░░░░░ you so much for ░░░░░░░░ here.”
