Minnesota Restaurant Owner Explains How His Business Has Been Burglarized 12 Times Since 2019

INGRAM Chairman Biggs and ░░░░░░░░ today one we re ░░░░░░░░ so grateful to be ░░░░░░░░ and have this opportunity ░░░░░░░░ m not going to ░░░░░░░░ to you about data ░░░░░░░░ m going to talk ░░░░░░░░ you about real life ░░░░░░░░ and really my prayer ░░░░░░░░ today is that open ░░░░░░░░ and open minds I ░░░░░░░░ passionate about our community ░░░░░░░░ ve stepped up since ░░░░░░░░ to create a better ░░░░░░░░ We set out with ░░░░░░░░ name of our restaurant ░░░░░░░░ Restaurants to have a ░░░░░░░░ inclusive environment We reached ░░░░░░░░ to all different community ░░░░░░░░ to understand what that ░░░░░░░░ like We have made ░░░░░░░░ our calling to be ░░░░░░░░ service to our community ░░░░░░░░ say we want to ░░░░░░░░ meals with people that ░░░░░░░░ t look like us ░░░░░░░░ don t believe like ░░░░░░░░ because that s what ░░░░░░░░ important I moved to ░░░░░░░░ in 2012 from New ░░░░░░░░ In those first five ░░░░░░░░ six years I had ░░░░░░░░ burglary that happened Since ░░░░░░░░ and beyond I know ░░░░░░░░ re north of 12 ░░░░░░░░ I cannot tell you ░░░░░░░░ many incidences at one ░░░░░░░░ our restaurants in downtown ░░░░░░░░ Paul that we ve ░░░░░░░░ overdoses that we ve ░░░░░░░░ people on our patios ░░░░░░░░ them I can t ░░░░░░░░ you how many times ░░░░░░░░ ve seen violent acts ░░░░░░░░ place in our restaurants ░░░░░░░░ cannot tell you how ░░░░░░░░ times I ve heard ░░░░░░░░ our district attorney that ░░░░░░░░ ve reduced charges We ░░░░░░░░ letting them off We ░░░░░░░░ reduced them to under ░░░░░░░░ 000 even though our ░░░░░░░░ were far greater than ░░░░░░░░ The gentleman sitting behind ░░░░░░░░ Jeff is my business ░░░░░░░░ his son Johnny died ░░░░░░░░ a fentanyl overdose above ░░░░░░░░ restaurant His drug dealer ░░░░░░░░ had all of his ░░░░░░░░ we gave it to ░░░░░░░░ police that drug dealer ░░░░░░░░ never arrested and he ░░░░░░░░ still on our streets ░░░░░░░░ These violent crimes and ░░░░░░░░ that happen in our ░░░░░░░░ and within our homes ░░░░░░░░ Paul was my home ░░░░░░░░ the time I moved ░░░░░░░░ except for a short ░░░░░░░░ I was in Minneapolis ░░░░░░░░ moved after our car ░░░░░░░░ recently stolen houses broken ░░░░░░░░ my son s daycare ░░░░░░░░ St Paul Minnesota recently ░░░░░░░░ young kids stole the ░░░░░░░░ again again I believe ░░░░░░░░ had happened several times ░░░░░░░░ crashed it but for ░░░░░░░░ grace of God into ░░░░░░░░ tree that stopped them ░░░░░░░░ going into the playground ░░░░░░░░ 3 year olds are ░░░░░░░░ on our streets This ░░░░░░░░ day in and day ░░░░░░░░ in our community and ░░░░░░░░ is being done about ░░░░░░░░ I can t tell ░░░░░░░░ how many times I ░░░░░░░░ listened to St Paul ░░░░░░░░ officers This man has ░░░░░░░░ arrested over 50 times ░░░░░░░░ I m sorry there ░░░░░░░░ nothing we can do ░░░░░░░░ got back out came ░░░░░░░░ burglarized us again got ░░░░░░░░ out within 24 hours ░░░░░░░░ m told and burglarized ░░░░░░░░ again So we can ░░░░░░░░ about data we can ░░░░░░░░ about how you can ░░░░░░░░ data we can talk ░░░░░░░░ political parties None of ░░░░░░░░ means anything to me ░░░░░░░░ matters to me is ░░░░░░░░ my community is safe ░░░░░░░░ matters to me is ░░░░░░░░ I get a call ░░░░░░░░ Can you help pay ░░░░░░░░ our funeral My daughter ░░░░░░░░ killed Trinity by random ░░░░░░░░ in St Paul What ░░░░░░░░ to me is that ░░░░░░░░ streets and our community ░░░░░░░░ taken care of And ░░░░░░░░ first priority as citizens ░░░░░░░░ public services it s ░░░░░░░░ serve our community And ░░░░░░░░ s what I m ░░░░░░░░ for that happens today ░░░░░░░░ and minds are open ░░░░░░░░ is not a political ░░░░░░░░ this is a human ░░░░░░░░ and we need to ░░░░░░░░ on human beings.”
