RUSH TRANSCRIPT HAYES Let ░░░░░░░░ start with you Brennan ░░░░░░░░ the Republican perspective on ░░░░░░░░ and I want you ░░░░░░░░ go back because first ░░░░░░░░ all I want to ░░░░░░░░ very clear when I ░░░░░░░░ making this comparison I ░░░░░░░░ there s nothing at ░░░░░░░░ similar substantively between Donald ░░░░░░░░ boasting about how he ░░░░░░░░ to sexually assault women ░░░░░░░░ the president having a ░░░░░░░░ debate performance but what ░░░░░░░░ I think similar a ░░░░░░░░ bit to the dynamics ░░░░░░░░ a news cycle in ░░░░░░░░ there are members of ░░░░░░░░ party saying publicly or ░░░░░░░░ that they re worried ░░░░░░░░ how you read this ░░░░░░░░ based on that history ░░░░░░░░ I think has some ░░░░░░░░ lessons for everyone in ░░░░░░░░ bunch of different directions ░░░░░░░░ Yeah I mean it ░░░░░░░░ one of the first ░░░░░░░░ I actually thought about ░░░░░░░░ this happened the moment ░░░░░░░░ Access Hollywood happened we ░░░░░░░░ in the speaker s ░░░░░░░░ and you may recall ░░░░░░░░ was Paul Ryan s ░░░░░░░░ to sort of back ░░░░░░░░ and tell everybody to ░░░░░░░░ know sort of everyone ░░░░░░░░ themselves And that very ░░░░░░░░ backfired upon us and ░░░░░░░░ think what we realized ░░░░░░░░ that Donald Trump had ░░░░░░░░ much closer connection to ░░░░░░░░ voters perhaps than Joe ░░░░░░░░ has to Democratic voters ░░░░░░░░ the backlash from voters ░░░░░░░░ significant I think another ░░░░░░░░ part of this this ░░░░░░░░ much later in the ░░░░░░░░ and I wonder how ░░░░░░░░ would be reacting if ░░░░░░░░ were not already past ░░░░░░░░ convention It became a ░░░░░░░░ binary choice very quickly ░░░░░░░░ a lot of Republicans ░░░░░░░░ you stick with Donald ░░░░░░░░ or Hillary Clinton becomes ░░░░░░░░ and that was a ░░░░░░░░ easy choice for a ░░░░░░░░ of people And I ░░░░░░░░ a lot of Democrats ░░░░░░░░ be doing a lot ░░░░░░░░ the same thing if ░░░░░░░░ were in September or ░░░░░░░░ right now.”
