it ░░░░░░░░ always a pleasure I ░░░░░░░░ your time this morning ░░░░░░░░ for being with us ░░░░░░░░ want to get right ░░░░░░░░ the latest news which ░░░░░░░░ of course what s ░░░░░░░░ in the in Virginia ░░░░░░░░ Senate And I know ░░░░░░░░ that you were you ░░░░░░░░ spearheading to try to ░░░░░░░░ out the veterans in ░░░░░░░░ You met with Senate ░░░░░░░░ did anything come out ░░░░░░░░ that or are you ░░░░░░░░ to call him back ░░░░░░░░ s the next step ░░░░░░░░ Yeah Once again senior ░░░░░░░░ leadership in the Senate ░░░░░░░░ our veteran and first ░░░░░░░░ population yesterday Have easily ░░░░░░░░ a bill that They ░░░░░░░░ here They could would ░░░░░░░░ reversed the damaging language ░░░░░░░░ is hurting our veterans ░░░░░░░░ families And they didn ░░░░░░░░ do it we had ░░░░░░░░ majority of the Senate ░░░░░░░░ yesterday that would have ░░░░░░░░ for this bill The ░░░░░░░░ had passed the house ░░░░░░░░ a unanimous basis a ░░░░░░░░ basis and all they ░░░░░░░░ to do was pass ░░░░░░░░ and send it to ░░░░░░░░ and we would have ░░░░░░░░ it But they stood ░░░░░░░░ the way again hurting ░░░░░░░░ veterans hurting their families ░░░░░░░░ our first responders I ░░░░░░░░ 45 million on the ░░░░░░░░ yesterday in order to ░░░░░░░░ fund these programs While ░░░░░░░░ general assembly and our ░░░░░░░░ does our work during ░░░░░░░░ fall to get ready ░░░░░░░░ a regular session where ░░░░░░░░ can then engage in ░░░░░░░░ dialog But again senior ░░░░░░░░ Democrats wanted to put ░░░░░░░░ pills into the bill ░░░░░░░░ don t want to ░░░░░░░░ the right thing for ░░░░░░░░ vets and our first ░░░░░░░░ I cannot understand why ░░░░░░░░ hurts them Virginia has ░░░░░░░░ 000 veterans We have ░░░░░░░░ 000 active duty This ░░░░░░░░ the most important population ░░░░░░░░ America They stand up ░░░░░░░░ our freedoms and our ░░░░░░░░ Our first responders run ░░░░░░░░ danger when others run ░░░░░░░░ We owe them the ░░░░░░░░ consideration of a full ░░░░░░░░ that would be that ░░░░░░░░ be bipartisan and passed ░░░░░░░░ in our general assembly ░░░░░░░░ again why a handful ░░░░░░░░ senators are blocking the ░░░░░░░░ will of the general ░░░░░░░░ I think is both ░░░░░░░░ and in fact with them ░░░░░░░░ in back rooms with ░░░░░░░░ deals with them in ░░░░░░░░ to make sure the ░░░░░░░░ is sustainable going forward ░░░░░░░░ And for those who ░░░░░░░░ t follow Virginia politics ░░░░░░░░ this this deals with ░░░░░░░░ Getting tuition for the ░░░░░░░░ and dependents of our ░░░░░░░░ members It did pass ░░░░░░░░ house unanimously And as ░░░░░░░░ just detail there procedurally ░░░░░░░░ least at the very ░░░░░░░░ held up in the ░░░░░░░░ like you said you ░░░░░░░░ get him back and ░░░░░░░░ something comes out of ░░░░░░░░ Yeah And again if ░░░░░░░░ can add this program can t understand why ░░░░░░░░ Senate Democrats continue to ░░░░░░░░ to hold our veterans ░░░░░░░░ first responders hostage It ░░░░░░░░ wrong And I m ░░░░░░░░ to continue to fight ░░░░░░░░ make sure this gets ░░░░░░░░ right Governor after last ░░░░░░░░ s presidential debate former ░░░░░░░░ Trump was with you ░░░░░░░░ his rally in chesapeake ░░░░░░░░ Some are wondering if ░░░░░░░░ re being currently vetted ░░░░░░░░ a possible running mate ░░░░░░░░ Trump Is that happening ░░░░░░░░ I m humbled that ░░░░░░░░ name Well let me ░░░░░░░░ begin that is included ░░░░░░░░ I am focused on ░░░░░░░░ and I m focused ░░░░░░░░ importantly today on this ░░░░░░░░ for our veterans You ░░░░░░░░ and I think there ░░░░░░░░ lots of topics that ░░░░░░░░ want to talk about ░░░░░░░░ I think one of ░░░░░░░░ reasons why the Senate ░░░░░░░░ leadership continues to be ░░░░░░░░ to evade the scrutiny ░░░░░░░░ deserve is because they ░░░░░░░░ into different topics The ░░░░░░░░ important thing in Virginia ░░░░░░░░ for me is to ░░░░░░░░ this clean reversal of ░░░░░░░░ language passed Our veterans ░░░░░░░░ it Our first responders ░░░░░░░░ it And I m ░░░░░░░░ to continue to go ░░░░░░░░ work today tomorrow and ░░░░░░░░ summer And they can ░░░░░░░░ back and work with ░░░░░░░░ all summer I m ░░░░░░░░ We re going to ░░░░░░░░ this done on behalf ░░░░░░░░ our vets It is ░░░░░░░░ very very important And ░░░░░░░░ governor issue and which ░░░░░░░░ just outlined But I ░░░░░░░░ curious to know if ░░░░░░░░ were offered the opportunity ░░░░░░░░ be his vp running ░░░░░░░░ is it something you ░░░░░░░░ be economy is doing ░░░░░░░░ in Virginia The job ░░░░░░░░ is roaring Companies are ░░░░░░░░ here Education Law enforcement ░░░░░░░░ We have transformed now ░░░░░░░░ fully staffed in many ░░░░░░░░ and government is running ░░░░░░░░ And I believe that ░░░░░░░░ why people look to ░░░░░░░░ And I also believe ░░░░░░░░ s why Virginia is ░░░░░░░░ play this year But ░░░░░░░░ of the most critical ░░░░░░░░ and I m sorry ░░░░░░░░ go back to it ░░░░░░░░ our veteran population It ░░░░░░░░ one of the things ░░░░░░░░ makes Virginia one of ░░░░░░░░ best states in America ░░░░░░░░ live work and raise ░░░░░░░░ family is because of ░░░░░░░░ veteran population and that ░░░░░░░░ honor them and we ░░░░░░░░ them And here we ░░░░░░░░ again Another moment where ░░░░░░░░ Senate Democrats in our ░░░░░░░░ our general assembly are ░░░░░░░░ doing the right thing ░░░░░░░░ must support our vets ░░░░░░░░ our first responders And ░░░░░░░░ s really at the ░░░░░░░░ of the most important ░░░░░░░░ We re focusing on ░░░░░░░░ All right governor I ░░░░░░░░ you joining us and ░░░░░░░░ you the best with ░░░░░░░░ particular issue Like you ░░░░░░░░ most likely calling the ░░░░░░░░ into session at some ░░░░░░░░ to hopefully
