During the San Francisco Mayoral Debate, London Breed Asks Mark Farrell to Name 3 Drag Queens in San Francisco

BREED I d like ░░░░░░░░ ask Mark a question ░░░░░░░░ were at the Harvey ░░░░░░░░ LGBT Democratic Club and ░░░░░░░░ t name any LGBT ░░░░░░░░ to your campaign You ░░░░░░░░ at the debate last ░░░░░░░░ and couldn t name ░░░░░░░░ drag queens on your ░░░░░░░░ I was wondering if ░░░░░░░░ could this is an ░░░░░░░░ to redeem yourself and ░░░░░░░░ you could name three ░░░░░░░░ advisors for your campaign ░░░░░░░░ three drag queens in ░░░░░░░░ Francisco FARRELL So we ░░░░░░░░ not gonna we re ░░░░░░░░ gonna revise the drag ░░░░░░░░ question from last week ░░░░░░░░ what I will say ░░░░░░░░ I am incredibly of ░░░░░░░░ support that I have ░░░░░░░░ our LGBTQ community here ░░░░░░░░ the San Francisco MODERATOR ░░░░░░░░ FARRELL Thank you I ░░░░░░░░ a member a former ░░░░░░░░ of the board of ░░░░░░░░ Jeff Sheehy who s ░░░░░░░░ close friend and supporter ░░░░░░░░ my campaign I have ░░░░░░░░ member of my staff ░░░░░░░░ members of my staff ░░░░░░░░ the queer community here ░░░░░░░░ the city of San ░░░░░░░░ that I won t ░░░░░░░░ inaudible by actually naming ░░░░░░░░ who they are But ░░░░░░░░ I will do is ░░░░░░░░ by my record in ░░░░░░░░ our queer community here ░░░░░░░░ the city of San ░░░░░░░░ When I was a ░░░░░░░░ of the board of ░░░░░░░░ as a straight white ░░░░░░░░ I was the one ░░░░░░░░ authored legislation to make ░░░░░░░░ that same sex couples ░░░░░░░░ work for the city ░░░░░░░░ San Francisco they will ░░░░░░░░ taxed by a federal ░░░░░░░░ for their health care ░░░░░░░░ before same sex marriage ░░░░░░░░ legalized I was the ░░░░░░░░ who authored the legislation ░░░░░░░░ make sure the city ░░░░░░░░ San Francisco reimbursed the ░░░░░░░░ sex couples so they ░░░░░░░░ treated equally in the ░░░░░░░░ of San Francisco residents ░░░░░░░░ in the eyes of ░░░░░░░░ Francisco City Hall I ░░░░░░░░ stand by my record ░░░░░░░░ that and I look ░░░░░░░░ to the continued support ░░░░░░░░ our queer community throughout ░░░░░░░░ city of San Francisco ░░░░░░░░ you for that question ░░░░░░░░ inaudible Mr Lurie your ░░░░░░░░ LURIE I ll give ░░░░░░░░ a softball mayor Three ░░░░░░░░ that you have cut ░░░░░░░░ they weren t performing ░░░░░░░░ BREED I feel bad ░░░░░░░░ it I feel bad ░░░░░░░░ don t I don ░░░░░░░░ know if I don ░░░░░░░░ wanna throw some of ░░░░░░░░ organizations under the bus ░░░░░░░░ No names BREED I ░░░░░░░░ just say sadly one ░░░░░░░░ the organizations was involved ░░░░░░░░ some issues at the ░░░░░░░░ View Hunters Point community ░░░░░░░░ one tragically had done ░░░░░░░░ inappropriate things with family ░░░░░░░░ And then unfortunately there ░░░░░░░░ one program that didn ░░░░░░░░ necessarily spend money appropriately ░░░░░░░░ provide the appropriate tutor ░░░░░░░░ It s more than ░░░░░░░░ but you know I ░░░░░░░░ I don t wanna ░░░░░░░░ that to these organizations ░░░░░░░░ let me just matter ░░░░░░░░ fact let me just ░░░░░░░░ since I got like ░░░░░░░░ seconds you know we ░░░░░░░░ a lot of nonprofit ░░░░░░░░ doing a lot of ░░░░░░░░ work and sadly some ░░░░░░░░ them had made some ░░░░░░░░ mistakes It wasn t ░░░░░░░░ easy just to walk ░░░░░░░░ from an organization that ░░░░░░░░ responsible For example one ░░░░░░░░ our family shelters They ░░░░░░░░ staff that was responsible ░░░░░░░░ overseeing this project but ░░░░░░░░ did some things inappropriately ░░░░░░░░ and we had to ░░░░░░░░ some adjustments with another ░░░░░░░░ that was in good ░░░░░░░░ to make a transition ░░░░░░░░ s not as simple ░░░░░░░░ you can stop something ░░░░░░░░ happening and throw these ░░░░░░░░ under the bus They ░░░░░░░░ employees there s work ░░░░░░░░ needs to be done ░░░░░░░░ those transitions And there ░░░░░░░░ more than three that ░░░░░░░░ ve had to cut ░░░░░░░░ for and in fact ░░░░░░░░ now many of them ░░░░░░░░ very upset and they ░░░░░░░░ going to the budget ░░░░░░░░ to protest to get ░░░░░░░░ money back But you ░░░░░░░░ I can probably provide ░░░░░░░░ a list of examples ░░░░░░░░ just don t wanna ░░░░░░░░ it right here today ░░░░░░░░ Thank you, mayor.”
