RUSH TRANSCRIPT MELBER Jay ░░░░░░░░ s start with you ░░░░░░░░ know your way a ░░░░░░░░ bit around fact fiction ░░░░░░░░ New York What do ░░░░░░░░ think about the tabloids ░░░░░░░░ back to bite Donald ░░░░░░░░ way MCINERNEY Well it ░░░░░░░░ ironic He lived in ░░░░░░░░ tabloids I m afraid ░░░░░░░░ than one of us ░░░░░░░░ but he used the ░░░░░░░░ for his own purposes ░░░░░░░░ knew very well how ░░░░░░░░ worked in New York ░░░░░░░░ am happy to say ░░░░░░░░ behalf of New York ░░░░░░░░ they weren t quite ░░░░░░░░ blatant as the National ░░░░░░░░ But I remember for ░░░░░░░░ when I was tabloid ░░░░░░░░ it was something that ░░░░░░░░ guess I would call ░░░░░░░░ trade and fade whereby ░░░░░░░░ they had if you ░░░░░░░░ called up and there ░░░░░░░░ a scandalous piece of ░░░░░░░░ about you you could ░░░░░░░░ out of it and ░░░░░░░░ could have it killed ░░░░░░░░ you had a juicier ░░░░░░░░ to trade So that ░░░░░░░░ and certainly Donald knew ░░░░░░░░ Of course he often ░░░░░░░░ up the tabloids as ░░░░░░░░ own publicist pretending to ░░░░░░░░ his own publicist to ░░░░░░░░ some wonderful news about ░░░░░░░░ But I find it ░░░░░░░░ extraordinary that the Enquirer ░░░░░░░░ paid in order to ░░░░░░░░ do the job they ░░░░░░░░ they were doing to ░░░░░░░░ news to the general ░░░░░░░░ And it s quite ░░░░░░░░ I hear that Pecker ░░░░░░░░ a very nice guy ░░░░░░░░ it s extraordinary to ░░░░░░░░ the things he s ░░░░░░░░ the things that he ░░░░░░░░ admitted were standard National ░░░░░░░░ practice at least in ░░░░░░░░ days.”
