‘I Am an Imperfect Human Being:’: Fani Willis Accepts the Black History Achievement Award

WILLIS Good morning Good ░░░░░░░░ For me it has ░░░░░░░░ well let s just ░░░░░░░░ the truth a rough ░░░░░░░░ years But Berean is ░░░░░░░░ that is home for ░░░░░░░░ I probably owe you ░░░░░░░░ an apology I have ░░░░░░░░ daughters but I sent ░░░░░░░░ most challenging one here ░░░░░░░░ she is the one ░░░░░░░░ kind of made sure ░░░░░░░░ I had some wisdom ░░░░░░░░ was strong and every ░░░░░░░░ hair in my head ░░░░░░░░ attributed to me by ░░░░░░░░ But I sent her ░░░░░░░░ and this is a ░░░░░░░░ story I was looking ░░░░░░░░ a school for this ░░░░░░░░ that is challenging And ░░░░░░░░ kept going to places ░░░░░░░░ not feeling love for ░░░░░░░░ that could come and ░░░░░░░░ a child who was ░░░░░░░░ to work your nerves ░░░░░░░░ day And the instant ░░░░░░░░ walked into Berean I ░░░░░░░░ I have found the ░░░░░░░░ place for my child ░░░░░░░░ I am really happy ░░░░░░░░ say today she is ░░░░░░░░ high school graduate thank ░░░░░░░░ to you all So ░░░░░░░░ I was invited here ░░░░░░░░ was really heartwarming because ░░░░░░░░ me this is family ░░░░░░░░ family helps you when ░░░░░░░░ re up and when ░░░░░░░░ re down And you ░░░░░░░░ helped me when I ░░░░░░░░ down having hard days ░░░░░░░░ just the love that ░░░░░░░░ received here it was ░░░░░░░░ consistent in all ways ░░░░░░░░ are things going on ░░░░░░░░ that I won t ░░░░░░░░ about but everybody did ░░░░░░░░ embrace me during those ░░░░░░░░ and Berean has continued ░░░░░░░░ embrace me Applause So ░░░░░░░░ m grateful for that ░░░░░░░░ m also grateful Pastor ░░░░░░░░ as I watched your ░░░░░░░░ you have a young ░░░░░░░░ and he is really ░░░░░░░░ in here And he ░░░░░░░░ giving me all of ░░░░░░░░ positive energy that Berean ░░░░░░░░ had Let me tell ░░░░░░░░ something that I ve ░░░░░░░░ very very recently because ░░░░░░░░ may need this lesson ░░░░░░░░ well You know people ░░░░░░░░ sending me Scriptures and ░░░░░░░░ appreciate those Scriptures but ░░░░░░░░ people from all different ░░░░░░░░ of life keep sending ░░░░░░░░ this one Scripture and ░░░░░░░░ don t think I ░░░░░░░░ really heard it till ░░░░░░░░ two days ago People ░░░░░░░░ you stuff you read ░░░░░░░░ they just kind of ░░░░░░░░ things you recite but ░░░░░░░░ don t really think ░░░░░░░░ what they say The ░░░░░░░░ they keep sending me ░░░░░░░░ No weapon formed against ░░░░░░░░ shall prosper Applause I ░░░░░░░░ y all to hear ░░░░░░░░ though They didn t ░░░░░░░░ the weapons will not ░░░░░░░░ And that s the ░░░░░░░░ I didn t hear ░░░░░░░░ recently Just because they ░░░░░░░░ t prosper it doesn ░░░░░░░░ mean that they won ░░░░░░░░ form Even if you ░░░░░░░░ like everything you are ░░░░░░░░ in your life is ░░░░░░░░ right thing and you ░░░░░░░░ making mistakes all along ░░░░░░░░ way but you re ░░░░░░░░ you should not think ░░░░░░░░ those weapons will not ░░░░░░░░ The other lesson that ░░░░░░░░ ve learned in this ░░░░░░░░ years is God ordains ░░░░░░░░ weapons He puts those ░░░░░░░░ in your life to ░░░░░░░░ against you Applause And ░░░░░░░░ you really understand Him ░░░░░░░░ become in your maturity ░░░░░░░░ understand He does it ░░░░░░░░ a reason and it ░░░░░░░░ to grow you and ░░░░░░░░ s to make you ░░░░░░░░ and it is to ░░░░░░░░ you And so my ░░░░░░░░ request from this family ░░░░░░░░ is this is a ░░░░░░░░ hard job I m ░░░░░░░░ to do And I ░░░░░░░░ an imperfect human being ░░░░░░░░ I can literally feel ░░░░░░░░ people who loves me ░░░░░░░░ prayers If just every ░░░░░░░░ and again you ll ░░░░░░░░ my name in a ░░░░░░░░ God hears his children ░░░░░░░░ would very much appreciate ░░░░░░░░ So I thank you ░░░░░░░░ this honor today because ░░░░░░░░ is an honor worth ░░░░░░░░ when it comes from ░░░░░░░░ group of people such ░░░░░░░░ the people that worship ░░░░░░░░ So thank you Applause ░░░░░░░░ Black history today we ░░░░░░░░ you This is our ░░░░░░░░ History Achievement Award presented ░░░░░░░░ Fulton County District Attorney ░░░░░░░░ Willis.”
