Ken Paxton: ‘I Have No Doubt’ Passage of Kate’s Law and Sanctuary Cities Bill Make America Safer

a ░░░░░░░░ time coming Had it ░░░░░░░░ passed several years ago ░░░░░░░░ wouldn t have lost ░░░░░░░░ and others For me ░░░░░░░░ is a no brainer ░░░░░░░░ are protecting our citizens ░░░░░░░░ in my opinion no ░░░░░░░░ side to passing these ░░░░░░░░ It is merely upside ░░░░░░░░ us So the ball ░░░░░░░░ in the Senate s ░░░░░░░░ What happens now Do ░░░░░░░░ survive the Senate You ░░░░░░░░ I never can predict ░░░░░░░░ s going to happen ░░░░░░░░ the Senate I can ░░░░░░░░ figure out why any ░░░░░░░░ would vote against this ░░░░░░░░ are talking about illegals ░░░░░░░░ have committed crimes or ░░░░░░░░ they going to address ░░░░░░░░ concerns that there are ░░░░░░░░ of You know I ░░░░░░░░ t I actually don ░░░░░░░░ understand those concerns Again ░░░░░░░░ are talking about people ░░░░░░░░ are here illegally who ░░░░░░░░ in detention for having ░░░░░░░░ crimes In the Texas ░░░░░░░░ you know we passed ░░░░░░░░ sanctuary city bill that ░░░░░░░░ dealt with people who ░░░░░░░░ arrested or suspected of ░░░░░░░░ You re talking about ░░░░░░░░ criminal element We re ░░░░░░░░ talking about just the ░░░░░░░░ illegal You are talking ░░░░░░░░ somebody who has committed ░░░░░░░░ crime I don t ░░░░░░░░ the concern especially when ░░░░░░░░ are potential risks for ░░░░░░░░ citizens In order to ░░░░░░░░ the Senate they might ░░░░░░░░ to address some of ░░░░░░░░ concerns A Democrat from ░░░░░░░░ says yes we must ░░░░░░░░ out the bad hombres ░░░░░░░░ a term that President ░░░░░░░░ has used in the ░░░░░░░░ but we must continue ░░░░░░░░ welcome those who come ░░░░░░░░ America to work hard ░░░░░░░░ contribute This is what ░░░░░░░░ are up against That ░░░░░░░░ of criticism Yeah I ░░░░░░░░ the narrative is wrong ░░░░░░░░ This is clearly again ░░░░░░░░ re talking about a ░░░░░░░░ element The narrative you ░░░░░░░░ hear is that somehow ░░░░░░░░ is going to affect ░░░░░░░░ enforcement They are not ░░░░░░░░ to be able to ░░░░░░░░ information from those to ░░░░░░░░ that type of information ░░░░░░░░ like in our case ░░░░░░░░ bill protects those who ░░░░░░░░ been victims of crime ░░░░░░░░ who are witnesses to ░░░░░░░░ So you know a ░░░░░░░░ of the narrative is ░░░░░░░░ It is not real ░░░░░░░░ I have not heard ░░░░░░░░ legitimate concern from any ░░░░░░░░ in the Senate about ░░░░░░░░ they are not voting ░░░░░░░░ this bill All right ░░░░░░░░ the one crackdown on ░░░░░░░░ cities the other Kate ░░░░░░░░ law So the fundamental ░░░░░░░░ is does the passage ░░░░░░░░ these two bills would ░░░░░░░░ make America safer Oh ░░░░░░░░ I have no doubt ░░░░░░░░ mean think about it ░░░░░░░░ is in place and ░░░░░░░░ guy that killed Kate ░░░░░░░░ not been allowed to ░░░░░░░░ back into the country ░░░░░░░░ he had been put ░░░░░░░░ in prison which he ░░░░░░░░ have been he would ░░░░░░░░ have committed that murder ░░░░░░░░ just the fact that ░░░░░░░░ would also require the ░░░░░░░░ bill would require cooperation ░░░░░░░░ cities in holding criminals ░░░░░░░░ detention as they are ░░░░░░░░ passed to the feds ░░░░░░░░ already know several people ░░░░░░░░ been harmed and killed ░░░░░░░░ they were released and ░░░░░░░░ there was no cooperation ░░░░░░░░ the feds So there ░░░░░░░░ no doubt that the ░░░░░░░░ shows that people would ░░░░░░░░ been protected So we ░░░░░░░░ this will work in ░░░░░░░░ future In the bills ░░░░░░░░ t survive the Senate ░░░░░░░░ the future is uncertain ░░░░░░░░ if they don t ░░░░░░░░ the Senate in their ░░░░░░░░ form does it put ░░░░░░░░ safety at risk I ░░░░░░░░ it absolutely does I ░░░░░░░░ again the past shows ░░░░░░░░ the future will be ░░░░░░░░ Texas over the last ░░░░░░░░ years our state police ░░░░░░░░ tracked statistics on illegals ░░░░░░░░ have had over 220 ░░░░░░░░ arrests and about 600 ░░░░░░░░ crimes including 1200 homicides ░░░░░░░░ 000 sexual assaults 70 ░░░░░░░░ thefts and burglaries 70 ░░░░░░░░ drug charges and the ░░░░░░░░ goes on We know ░░░░░░░░ are committing crimes Therefore ░░░░░░░░ re trying in Texas ░░░░░░░░ do our best to ░░░░░░░░ our citizens We re ░░░░░░░░ that Congress will do ░░░░░░░░ same Well President Trump ░░░░░░░░ the bill s passage ░░░░░░░░ news in a tweet ░░░░░░░░ added house just
