Pelosi And I could ░░░░░░░░ many personal stories but ░░░░░░░░ don t have as ░░░░░░░░ application to other people ░░░░░░░░ will tell one more ░░░░░░░░ we were moving for ░░░░░░░░ Democratic Convention in San ░░░░░░░░ I was chair of ░░░░░░░░ California Democratic Party We ░░░░░░░░ trying to get the ░░░░░░░░ in San Francisco so ░░░░░░░░ went to see her ░░░░░░░░ Brown Walter Shorenstein and ░░░░░░░░ went to see Dianne ░░░░░░░░ say What about this ░░░░░░░░ she said Well will ░░░░░░░░ cost money And we ░░░░░░░░ Well we have to ░░░░░░░░ money And she said ░░░░░░░░ my first concern are ░░░░░░░░ people at Laguna Honda ░░░░░░░░ in San Francisco This ░░░░░░░░ where many lower income ░░░░░░░░ not all of but ░░░░░░░░ income people who need ░░░░░░░░ care and all go ░░░░░░░░ San hundreds of them ░░░░░░░░ in San so she ░░░░░░░░ always about people and ░░░░░░░░ her their needs with ░░░░░░░░ responsibility I could go ░░░░░░░░ and on about some ░░░░░░░░ those that people might ░░░░░░░░ think of her as ░░░░░░░░ first responsibility is to ░░░░░░░░ poorest of the poor ░░░░░░░░ under my responsibility in ░░░░░░░░ city Again another time ░░░░░░░░ will have some more ░░░░░░░░ about her Everybody s ░░░░░░░░ about the great legislation ░░░░░░░░ was a great legislator ░░░░░░░░ gun violence she saved ░░░░░░░░ She saved people s ░░░░░░░░ That was it was ░░░░░░░░ Imagine she was in ░░░░░░░░ one year She came ░░░░░░░░ In 94 she passed ░░░░░░░░ assault weapon ban And ░░░░░░░░ it was reinstated and ░░░░░░░░ it went away But ░░░░░░░░ it was there it ░░░░░░░░ lives How many people ░░░░░░░░ make that claim TAPPER ░░░░░░░░ Madam Speaker thank you ░░░░░░░░ much And condolences to ░░░░░░░░ and to Senator Dianne ░░░░░░░░ s loved ones and ░░░░░░░░ Thank you so much ░░░░░░░░ And let me just ░░░░░░░░ that some of the ░░░░░░░░ some of the senators ░░░░░░░░ that maybe her departure ░░░░░░░░ the sadness that went ░░░░░░░░ us focused people more ░░░░░░░░ Let s get the ░░░░░░░░ done to keep government ░░░░░░░░ for the people TAPPER ░░░░░░░░ may her memory be ░░░░░░░░ blessing Thanks for joining ░░░░░░░░ today Appreciate it Pelosi ░░░░░░░░ she rest in peace ░░░░░░░░ you.”
