RUSH TRANSCRIPT They are ░░░░░░░░ small fraction of the ░░░░░░░░ 000 who have come ░░░░░░░░ eagle pass in a ░░░░░░░░ days The mayor declaring ░░░░░░░░ state of emergency The ░░░░░░░░ of eagle pass I ░░░░░░░░ your time You have ░░░░░░░░ of migrants in eagle ░░░░░░░░ More coming every day ░░░░░░░░ serious is the situation ░░░░░░░░ Thank you for having ░░░░░░░░ This is definitely a ░░░░░░░░ serious situation for the ░░░░░░░░ of eagle pass We ░░░░░░░░ a city of 28 ░░░░░░░░ 30 000 people The ░░░░░░░░ couple days we have ░░░░░░░░ in excess of 5 ░░░░░░░░ people cross from Mexico ░░░░░░░░ Eagle Pass Texas It ░░░░░░░░ become a big concern ░░░░░░░░ the community A lot ░░░░░░░░ people are frustrated A ░░░░░░░░ of these people are ░░░░░░░░ let loose in the ░░░░░░░░ walking around It s ░░░░░░░░ a big concern for ░░░░░░░░ city of eagle pass ░░░░░░░░ only safety wise but ░░░░░░░░ local economy is taking ░░░░░░░░ hit because we had ░░░░░░░░ shut down bridge number ░░░░░░░░ our international bridge which ░░░░░░░░ of dollars flow through ░░░░░░░░ bridge We depend on ░░░░░░░░ tolls of the people ░░░░░░░░ pay the bridge tolls ░░░░░░░░ s just an emergency ░░░░░░░░ That is why as ░░░░░░░░ for the city of ░░░░░░░░ pass I decided to ░░░░░░░░ a state of emergency ░░░░░░░░ our city We have ░░░░░░░░ seen this before This ░░░░░░░░ not normal We shouldn ░░░░░░░░ have to be going ░░░░░░░░ a situation like this ░░░░░░░░ the United States or ░░░░░░░░ in Eagle Pass Texas ░░░░░░░░ shouldn t I want ░░░░░░░░ emphasize what you said ░░░░░░░░ hits home I grew ░░░░░░░░ in a town about ░░░░░░░░ size of yours You ░░░░░░░░ saying you got 5 ░░░░░░░░ people in a couple ░░░░░░░░ coming into a city ░░░░░░░░ 28 to 30 000 ░░░░░░░░ That s 15 of ░░░░░░░░ population How do you ░░░░░░░░ manage such a thing ░░░░░░░░ understanding tell me if ░░░░░░░░ m wrong there s ░░░░░░░░ coming where they came ░░░░░░░░ Right Fortunately we have ░░░░░░░░ help of our state ░░░░░░░░ dps the governor our ░░░░░░░░ agencies border patrol They ░░░░░░░░ helping and they are ░░░░░░░░ the situation as best ░░░░░░░░ they can What s ░░░░░░░░ is that you have ░░░░░░░░ these thousands of people ░░░░░░░░ walking in without any ░░░░░░░░ whatsoever The word is ░░░░░░░░ out It s kind ░░░░░░░░ a come one come ░░░░░░░░ type of approach You ░░░░░░░░ all these people coming ░░░░░░░░ is no consequence I ░░░░░░░░ want to say that ░░░░░░░░ think that this is ░░░░░░░░ It s a shame ░░░░░░░░ we don t have ░░░░░░░░ reform and a solution ░░░░░░░░ prevent situations like this ░░░░░░░░ don t know why ░░░░░░░░ have come to this ░░░░░░░░ don t think anybody ░░░░░░░░ disagree with you when ░░░░░░░░ say it s unacceptable ░░░░░░░░ come with no consequence ░░░░░░░░ s why more come.
