RUSH TRANSCRIPT BLITZER Areva ░░░░░░░░ to this report Minneapolis ░░░░░░░░ targeted black people at ░░░░░░░░ rates than white people ░░░░░░░░ treated neighborhoods differently based ░░░░░░░░ their racial makeup How ░░░░░░░░ is this discrimination Martin ░░░░░░░░ I wish I could ░░░░░░░░ that this is an ░░░░░░░░ situation and that this ░░░░░░░░ an anomaly But this ░░░░░░░░ something we hear all ░░░░░░░░ often with police departments ░░░░░░░░ this country There are ░░░░░░░░ police departments now that ░░░░░░░░ under consent decrees because ░░░░░░░░ pervasive racist policing policies ░░░░░░░░ has been unearthed in ░░░░░░░░ is despicable The kind ░░░░░░░░ constitutional violations that have ░░░░░░░░ outlined in that report ░░░░░░░░ think what s even ░░░░░░░░ troubling for me wolf ░░░░░░░░ that activists on the ░░░░░░░░ in Minneapolis have been ░░░░░░░░ its city leadership about ░░░░░░░░ problems for years these ░░░░░░░░ aren t new the ░░░░░░░░ knew about them Like ░░░░░░░░ activists in the piece ░░░░░░░░ it seems like the ░░░░░░░░ department in the city ░░░░░░░░ were more comfortable paying ░░░░░░░░ millions of dollars in ░░░░░░░░ brutality settlements than making ░░░░░░░░ real changes needed to ░░░░░░░░ constitutional policing to people ░░░░░░░░ color This is not ░░░░░░░░ new issue Black people ░░░░░░░░ been disproportionally negatively policed ░░░░░░░░ this country for decades.”
