░░░░░░░░ for being here this ░░░░░░░░ Paul Good morning You ░░░░░░░░ welcome Thank you BARTIROMO ░░░░░░░░ give us your take ░░░░░░░░ plan to introduce an ░░░░░░░░ plan to the Biden ░░░░░░░░ deal as an amendment ░░░░░░░░ us about your plans ░░░░░░░░ Well you know there ░░░░░░░░ nothing conservative about the ░░░░░░░░ McCarthy plan It allows ░░░░░░░░ borrowing for two years ░░░░░░░░ the next presidential election ░░░░░░░░ can spend as much ░░░░░░░░ as they can possibly ░░░░░░░░ borrow as much money ░░░░░░░░ they want no limits ░░░░░░░░ borrowing for two years ░░░░░░░░ conservative about that Experts ░░░░░░░░ estimated that they might ░░░░░░░░ as much as 4 ░░░░░░░░ in two years that ░░░░░░░░ not conservative Nothing they ░░░░░░░░ say about it makes ░░░░░░░░ amount of borrowing conservative ░░░░░░░░ what I have proposed ░░░░░░░░ the penny plan budget ░░░░░░░░ caps Basically the penny ░░░░░░░░ balances the budget over ░░░░░░░░ years Why five years ░░░░░░░░ historically Republicans have supported ░░░░░░░░ constitutional amendment to balance ░░░░░░░░ budget over five years ░░░░░░░░ so to do that ░░░░░░░░ s actually up to ░░░░░░░░ pennies So it s ░░░░░░░░ percent cut each year ░░░░░░░░ five years and you ░░░░░░░░ to balance But if ░░░░░░░░ did get to balance ░░░░░░░░ think you d have ░░░░░░░░ economic productivity and recovery ░░░░░░░░ you ve never seen ░░░░░░░░ our country And really ░░░░░░░░ other countries do this ░░░░░░░░ of Europe actually balances ░░░░░░░░ annual budget You know ░░░░░░░░ we can t even ░░░░░░░░ what Europe does with ░░░░░░░░ annual ░░░░░░░░ where does the money ░░░░░░░░ from in terms of ░░░░░░░░ plan cuts Paul Everywhere ░░░░░░░░ that s the that ░░░░░░░░ really the part of ░░░░░░░░ problem with the way ░░░░░░░░ House approach military and half ░░░░░░░░ welfare programs So they ░░░░░░░░ took military off the ░░░░░░░░ So they took 66 ░░░░░░░░ off the table with ░░░░░░░░ then they took another ░░░░░░░░ percent off the table ░░░░░░░░ military So what they ░░░░░░░░ is they tried to ░░░░░░░░ fiscal responsibility by only ░░░░░░░░ at 16 percent of ░░░░░░░░ budget So as a ░░░░░░░░ they weren t able ░░░░░░░░ do anything In my ░░░░░░░░ we look at smaller ░░░░░░░░ And that s why ░░░░░░░░ penny plan used to ░░░░░░░░ It was a 1 ░░░░░░░░ cut across the entire ░░░░░░░░ Now it s a ░░░░░░░░ percent cut but it ░░░░░░░░ across everything And I ░░░░░░░░ you could even do ░░░░░░░░ to things that people ░░░░░░░░ and make them more ░░░░░░░░ Look the Medicare budget ░░░░░░░░ a trillion dollars You ░░░░░░░░ you can t skim ░░░░░░░░ a few percentage without ░░░░░░░░ reducing health care I ░░░░░░░░ you could actually do ░░░░░░░░ and enhance health care ░░░░░░░░ making Medicare more efficient ░░░░░░░░ no one ever does ░░░░░░░░ They just say it ░░░░░░░░ off the it s ░░░░░░░░ the table We re ░░░░░░░░ going to talk about ░░░░░░░░ Because the Democrats criticize ░░░░░░░░ But it s a ░░░░░░░░ mistake and that s ░░░░░░░░ we re in this ░░░░░░░░ deficit hole that we ░░░░░░░░ BARTIROMO So are you ░░░░░░░░ that amendments will be ░░░░░░░░ to the bill as ░░░░░░░░ heads to the Senate ░░░░░░░░ mean there s real ░░░░░░░░ that ░░░░░░░░ all they want to ░░░░░░░░ is raise the debt ░░░░░░░░ they don t care ░░░░░░░░ fact they would vote ░░░░░░░░ clean debt ceiling probably ░░░░░░░░ what I would say ░░░░░░░░ is that none of ░░░░░░░░ amendments will pass But ░░░░░░░░ Don t We present ░░░░░░░░ Because if you ask ░░░░░░░░ in my state of ░░░░░░░░ or U S conservatives ░░░░░░░░ watch your program would ░░░░░░░░ be in favor of ░░░░░░░░ the budget in five ░░░░░░░░ and putting those kinds ░░░░░░░░ spending caps in in ░░░░░░░░ for raising the debt ░░░░░░░░ I think the vast ░░░░░░░░ I think two thirds ░░░░░░░░ the people in my ░░░░░░░░ would respond that way ░░░░░░░░ I d venture to ░░░░░░░░ two thirds of conservatives ░░░░░░░░ more would say we ░░░░░░░░ need significant cuts and ░░░░░░░░ means cuts enough to ░░░░░░░░ the budget not cuts ░░░░░░░░ to to to let ░░░░░░░░ budget continue to rise ░░░░░░░░ the Biden McCarthy plan ░░░░░░░░ will rise every year ░░░░░░░░ will be no cut ░░░░░░░░ spending.”
