DeSantis And so this ░░░░░░░░ says the whole experiment ░░░░░░░░ DEI is coming to ░░░░░░░░ end in the state ░░░░░░░░ Florida We are eliminating ░░░░░░░░ DEI programs We are ░░░░░░░░ to treat people as ░░░░░░░░ we re not going ░░░░░░░░ treat people as members ░░░░░░░░ groups And it s ░░░░░░░░ wrong how this has ░░░░░░░░ implemented It has been ░░░░░░░░ But it s also ░░░░░░░░ fact that the more ░░░░░░░░ you place on something ░░░░░░░░ a DEI the less ░░░░░░░░ emphasis you do because ░░░░░░░░ opportunity costs on recruiting ░░░░░░░░ teachers on promoting things ░░░░░░░░ stem courses or other ░░░░░░░░ courses that that the ░░░░░░░░ could could really learn ░░░░░░░░ from taking So I ░░░░░░░░ it s been a ░░░░░░░░ from the core mission ░░░░░░░░ the university And I ░░░░░░░░ that this is a ░░░░░░░░ corrective We re also ░░░░░░░░ a determination in this ░░░░░░░░ to say ok you ░░░░░░░░ tax dollars even though ░░░░░░░░ put a lot of ░░░░░░░░ into new college this ░░░░░░░░ year and I ll ░░░░░░░░ ll talk a little ░░░░░░░░ about that But I ░░░░░░░░ it s you know ░░░░░░░░ ve really shown a ░░░░░░░░ to higher education with ░░░░░░░░ and that s important ░░░░░░░░ at the end of ░░░░░░░░ day you can t ░░░░░░░░ all things to all ░░░░░░░░ you got to make ░░░░░░░░ about what do you ░░░░░░░░ to do You know ░░░░░░░░ you want a medical ░░░░░░░░ somewhere or do you ░░░░░░░░ something else And so ░░░░░░░░ this bill is saying ░░░░░░░░ you know some of ░░░░░░░░ niche subjects like Critical ░░░░░░░░ Theory other types of ░░░░░░░░ infused courses and majors ░░░░░░░░ is getting out of ░░░░░░░░ game If you want ░░░░░░░░ do things like gender ░░░░░░░░ go to Berkeley go ░░░░░░░░ some of these other ░░░░░░░░ that s fine Cheering ░░░░░░░░ Applause It s fine ░░░░░░░░ there s nothing if ░░░░░░░░ s what you want ░░░░░░░░ do there s there ░░░░░░░░ nothing wrong with that ░░░░░░░░ se.”
