PHANG So an overwhelming ░░░░░░░░ congresswoman of maternal deaths ░░░░░░░░ preventable The CDC found ░░░░░░░░ more than 80 roughly ░░░░░░░░ in five maternal deaths ░░░░░░░░ due to preventable causes ░░░░░░░░ studied in 2017 2019 ░░░░░░░░ which black women made ░░░░░░░░ disproportionate one third amount ░░░░░░░░ that they re more ░░░░░░░░ to die of cardiac ░░░░░░░░ coronary problems So what ░░░░░░░░ be done to help ░░░░░░░░ these deaths on a ░░░░░░░░ level Kelly First of ░░░░░░░░ you have to attribute ░░░░░░░░ to racism That is ░░░░░░░░ the bottom line because ░░░░░░░░ can be black wealthy ░░░░░░░░ educated in great shape ░░░░░░░░ you still die at ░░░░░░░░ disproportionate rate compared to ░░░░░░░░ women that have graduated ░░░░░░░░ education So we have ░░░░░░░░ have culturally competent care ░░░░░░░░ is the bottom line ░░░░░░░░ then also access to ░░░░░░░░ period Black women don ░░░░░░░░ have the same access ░░░░░░░░ care as their white ░░░░░░░░ whether you re living ░░░░░░░░ rural areas or urban ░░░░░░░░ or suburban areas And ░░░░░░░░ hospitals are closing in ░░░░░░░░ areas also So we ░░░░░░░░ to provide places for ░░░░░░░░ to go quality places ░░░░░░░░ women to go PHANG ░░░░░░░░ know I m out ░░░░░░░░ time congresswoman but I ░░░░░░░░ like to invite you ░░░░░░░░ come back and perhaps ░░░░░░░░ can do a deeper ░░░░░░░░ on implicit bias when ░░░░░░░░ comes to health care ░░░░░░░░ think that is kind ░░░░░░░░ a topic that gets ░░░░░░░░ often because it s ░░░░░░░░ something that inherently instinctively ░░░░░░░░ coming up but I ░░░░░░░░ it s an important ░░░░░░░░ and I would love ░░░░░░░░ have you come back ░░░░░░░░ in the meantime I ░░░░░░░░ to thank you Congresswoman ░░░░░░░░ Kelly for joining us ░░░░░░░░ morning I appreciate it ░░░░░░░░ Thank you and I ░░░░░░░░ love to come back.”
