DeSantis You ve you ░░░░░░░░ also heard some things ░░░░░░░░ the ability or the ░░░░░░░░ availability of African American ░░░░░░░░ in Florida And this ░░░░░░░░ out of there was ░░░░░░░░ proposed course that the ░░░░░░░░ Board was sending to ░░░░░░░░ states and that hadn ░░░░░░░░ even been approved yet ░░░░░░░░ they were soliciting feedback ░░░░░░░░ it s still in ░░░░░░░░ experimental stages But our ░░░░░░░░ of Education said this ░░░░░░░░ is rejected it clearly ░░░░░░░░ against our standards about ░░░░░░░░ ideological indoctrination And so ░░░░░░░░ identified the reasons why ░░░░░░░░ you just tell me ░░░░░░░░ you think this is ░░░░░░░░ that is appropriate for ░░░░░░░░ African American History course ░░░░░░░░ this is they had ░░░░░░░░ thing about queer studies ░░░░░░░░ They put that in ░░░░░░░░ in this course And ░░░░░░░░ is the quote from ░░░░░░░░ of the the readings ░░░░░░░░ quote We have to ░░░░░░░░ and develop practices whereby ░░░░░░░░ isn t surrender to ░░░░░░░░ status quo of race ░░░░░░░░ gender and sexuality It ░░░░░░░░ building forms of queerness ░░░░░░░░ reject the given realities ░░░░░░░░ the government and the ░░░░░░░░ And I m just ░░░░░░░░ to myself you know ░░░░░░░░ aren t we talking ░░░░░░░░ Frederick Douglass You know ░░░░░░░░ aren t we talking ░░░░░░░░ things that I think ░░░░░░░░ really matter And so ░░░░░░░░ had a whole bunch ░░░░░░░░ other things A lot ░░░░░░░░ this was informed by ░░░░░░░░ know I would say ░░░░░░░░ Marxism heavy heavy ideological ░░░░░░░░ And so that clearly ░░░░░░░░ not something you know ░░░░░░░░ that we re going ░░░░░░░░ do But what they ░░░░░░░░ say then is because ░░░░░░░░ ideologically driven course was ░░░░░░░░ something that met our ░░░░░░░░ that somehow Florida prohibited ░░░░░░░░ anything about black history ░░░░░░░░ that is not only ░░░░░░░░ true Florida law does ░░░░░░░░ opposite We require that ░░░░░░░░ the aspects from the ░░░░░░░░ all the way to ░░░░░░░░ present And in fact ░░░░░░░░ I ve been governor ░░░░░░░░ ve expanded that We ░░░░░░░░ the 1920 Election Day ░░░░░░░░ we now have that ░░░░░░░░ being something that has ░░░░░░░░ be that has to ░░░░░░░░ discussed as well as ░░░░░░░░ impact of Jim Crow ░░░░░░░░
